Chapter 7 - Sneaking Out

2 months have passed, and both Niki and Kay got to know each other better

-3rd pov-

It was now April 22nd, a Monday morning, Kay did her regular morning routine and got ready for the day

Niki wasn't there cause he had a meeting with his father, which wasn't surprising cause he's part of a very powerful organization

And that she was already used to not seeing him home as much, she had remembered his schedule and all the staff members' schedule

She went to the dining room to already see the table set with breakfast for her

"Thank you" she thanked the butler before sitting down and eating her first meal of the day

-time skip-

It was quiet as usual but kay was getting bored, she had finished her breakfast and was now in the living room, thinking about what to do

She had already explored the estate and read many books, she was tired of being looked over 24/7

"What to do..." she mumbled to her before getting an idea "I should sneak out," she thought to herself

It had been a while since she was outside of the estate, it wasn't like she was trapped here but she hadn't been out without a bodyguard following her

-Kay's pov-

I sat up and looked around, I knew that most of the staff were doing something and where most of them were

I got up from the couch and made my way to one of the exits of this place, put on my shoes before leaving the house

That was step one: making out of the estate without getting caught or seen

Now step two was the hardest part, getting out of the perimeter of the estate

There were guards everywhere, patrolling the area, making sure that no one left or entered

I closed the door behind me, looking around before walking towards the garage, I looked over to my left to see construction or something like that

I was confused but I ignored it and continued with my plan, entering the garage, I pulled my phone out and ordered an Uber

Placed my phone back in my pocket before looking out the window, I saw that I just had to run through a long ass driveway

"Oh my god, this is going to be hell" I mumbled to myself and let out a sigh

The Uber was going to get her in 10 minutes so I had to be quick with this

I left the garage and hid behind a tree, I peeked out, hoping that no guards were there, but I didn't see anyone

I took a deep breath "It's now or never" I thought to myself, I got myself mentally and physically prepared

Took another deep breath before running down the driveway and hiding behind another tree "I look hella stupid..." I murmured before peeking out to check for anyone out here

I made sure that the coast was clear, and seeing that there was no one, I ran down the driveway without stopping

Soon I made it down the driveway, I was panting for air "damn....long ass driveway"

I was trying to catch my breath and control my breathing, I saw my Uber, I quickly stood up straight

The Uber pulled up, and I entered the car "Take me to Dotonbori" I said politely with a smile
