Date was better than expected- chapter 3

RILEY'S POV
-------Friday-------

It was Friday, finally! The day I've been dreaming about since forever. I was so excited, what if I embarrass my self? What if I do something wrong? Most importantly, What if he doesn't like me at all or thinks I'm weird?

Right after I got home from school I called my closest friend out of Team RACK which was Ashely. I called her and surprisingly she picked up on the first ring.

"Hey Riley, what up?" She asked from the other side

"I wanna talk to you about the date I'm having with cameron tonight, I'm really nervous, What do I wear? Casual or fancy? How do I greet him? OMG help me please!" I rushed

"Well ask Chole for clothing advice cuz I'm not the best at it. All I can tell you is enjoy and have fun while you can. Just greet him causally so neither of you will make a big deal out of it." She filled me up with information

"Ok thanks! Byee love ya!"

"You better tell me all the details, l mean every single thing that happens! Got it?" She asked

"Oki, bye!" Then I hung up. I didn't know what to wear because we might go out after I'm don't cooking, but them I decided not to call and settled on something casual.

----------4:55---------

He's going to be here any minute now, I was walking around the living room trying to calm my self. My phone beeped and I got a text saying "omy, be there In 5" from cameron.

Right after I came back from the washroom the doorbell rang, I ran an got it. Thankfully mom and dad were at work, Tyler was at his girlfriends, wait where was Kyle? I hope he doesn't embarrass me because I forgot to inform him about my little date.

"Hi cameron. Come in!" I greeted

"Hey Riley! You look beautiful!" He complimented. I was wearing half black leggings with a white tank top and a red flannel. Does he give out compliments a lot or is it just me?

"Thanks, you don't look bad your self" I said.

"What are we having for dinner today?" He asked

"Whatever you like, sir" I said sarcastically

"I was thinking of maybe pasta? Since it's easy and fast?" He answered

Before I could say sure Kyle came down shirtless with sweat pants, he didn't look that surprised to see cameron here.

"Hey bud! What'cha doin here at my place?" Kyle asked

"Oh did Riley not tell you about our date?" Cam replied

I cut in by saying "Kyle go up stairs please?" Sweetly telling him tht I'll explain everything later to him truthfully.

He listened and jogged upstairs. Now I was cooking pasta and can was just playing stupid crossy road on his phone.

After I was done we ate a few bites and cam said "hey Riley, I know your a great cook and all but you want to go the movies after? We could watch, what's that movie called? Pitch perfect 2? Or math Jurassic World? If you like"

I was so happy that he thought of the movies, I haven't watched a movie in ages. "Sure lets go now, just wait a few seconds I have to get ready." And walked go stairs.

I quickly changed into a sky blue floral dress and walked towards Kyle's room and said "hey sorry Kyle. I thought you would be going out so I didn't bother telling you."

"Is ok, but next time tell me before hand or else you will regret it." He threatened for fun. "Also cameron is a great guy! He's a keeper!" And left the room.

I didn't get to reply, u just walked downstairs and told cameron we could leave.

He looked surprised I was wearing a dress, I should wear dresses more often, just as I was thinking he said "you look nice In a dress, wear it more often." Like a mind reader. This was the second compliment he have me today in less than 2 hours.

"Um thanks! Sure I will!" I answered and we left in him motor bike. When we got there we decided to watch Jurassic World since it just came out and it looked pretty cool.

Before the movie we just talked about our favourite and elastics favourite Disney movies. Once the nice started it was okay, but there was so much eating humans in it I got scared and disgusted.

By the end of the movie we were leaning on each other with my head on his shoulder and his head lying on my head. I wanted to stay in this position forever! Unfortunately the movie ended and we had to leave.

"This was one of the best movies I saw. What did you think?" he said to me

"Really? It was alright" I answered as we made our way to the parking lot.

When we got outside it was pretty chilly, so I shivered. He noticed and took off his leather jacket and put it around my back.

"There better?" He asked and I just nodded with a thank you.

During the ride back I found out it was already 8:24, what would Kyle think if we went back later than expected.

As we got to my door "I had fun tonight! The pasta was awesome, I'm looking forward to eating some more of your food." He smirked

"Really..? Well thanks! I had fun to, bye! See you on Monday!" And was about to close the door, but didn't get to because he came and hugged me right while whispering "I need my jacket back"

Oh right his jacket! I forgot, I quickly took it off and handed it to him

"Thanks for the jacket! And I feel flattered that you care about your jacket more than you care about me" and closed the door.

"Anytime!" He yelled and drove off. I was left there standing by the door smiling from ear to ear.

I thought he was going to leave right after we finish eating and things would be awkward, but we talked about several things and to to know each other a lot better. This night turned out to be so much better than expected!
