Café Au Lait. Day.
CAT and QUINN, two teenagers are sitting on an orange couch in a cafe. CAT is dressed in a cute light pink flowy dress, with a cross necklace. She fidgets with it. QUINN is dressed comfortably, in light blue jeans and a burgundy sweatshirt. There is smooth jazz music and white noise playing in the background. The two girls are sitting close together.
CAT
I'm so glad Trevor finally came out.
QUINN
Right! It's about damn time!
Shaking head
That closet was made of glass.
CAT
How do you think he finally figured it out?
QUINN
He looked in the mirror.
CAT laughs.
CAT
No, but actually. How did you know you liked girls?
QUINN
Shrugs.
I don't know. I guess I've always known.
Beat.
Why?
CAT
Defensively.
No reason!
Pauses to think.
Well, what if you haven't always felt that way.
Beat.
Asking for a friend.
QUINN
Pondering the question.
Well, I guess you can never know until you try. Maybe your "friend" should experiment.
CAT
Oh?
QUINN
Yeah, experiment. Kiss some girls, kiss some guys.
Offhandedly.
You know, try.
CAT starts moving closer to QUINN whilst she speaks.
CAT
I'll make sure to tell my friend that.
QUINN
This friend probably just needs some time to figure things out.
CAT
Yeah.
Scoots closer.
QUINN
Unsure.
No need to rush.
CAT
I don't...
CAT makes her decision.
Think the friend needs any more time.
She scoots closer and tucks her hair in. QUINN scoots closer. CAT kisses QUINN. Cue Wanna Go Out Sometime by Adiescar Chase. Blackout.
