On September 29th, Elodious Entertainment's brand new girlgroup SPELLBOUND debuted with their first first mini album: The Awakening Chapter: SECRET GARDEN, which was performed by the group's first five members, currently dubbed the SECRET GARDEN unit.
Today we're going to take a closer look at the individual songs, the music video and the album as a whole!
THE SONGS
The first song on the album is PROLOGUE:

From what I've seen online, PROLOGUE is a really underrated song! I feel like a lot of people just skipped it thinking it's a typical K-Pop intro with just speaking lines or just instrumental, not realizing that PROLOGUE is just the title of the song!
Personally, I think it's the perfection introduction to both the group and the album itself! It has the same mystical and fantasy-inspired vibe as all of the other songs on the album, and it shows off each of the five members' charms quite well, with GIA and BELLA getting short rap verses that round up the overall ethereal vibe of the song and give it a bit of an edge. ACHILLES shined the most in this song, her more delicate and gentle voice sounded so good on those soft instrumentals and harmonies! BORA showed her stable vocals as well, though she definitely had more time in the spotlight in other songs and didn't stand out too much in this one. And don't even get me started on ALOE! Her relaxed, laid-back voice sounded so good in this track, especially when singing together with ACHILLES, their voices blended together really well!
Overall, this song definitely deserves more love!
