DAY 1 of the Dome Experiment
Today is certainly the worst day of my life! It started out normal. Mom and Dad were at work at their jobs at the G.D.O.R (Government Department Of Robots) office. I was alone at home. Only me, my dog Cosmo, and our house robot Stacy were with me. I was reading the new book that had just been uploaded to the D.L (digital library) when there was a knock at the door. I went to open it and standing there was a G.D.O.R police robot. He said "PLEASE REMAIN CALM CITIZEN. EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL" I was confused at first, but then I saw it. A large concrete dome was being lowered by the biggest robots I had ever seen. They were made of titanium and had reflective paint around their legs that glinted off the, soon covered, sun. They were around 10 feet tall and had triangle-shaped glowing red eyes. They sounded like large jets all flying at once. There was a large crash when the dome hit the ground. Trapping me, and everyone in the town under its hard rock insides. Around me the neighbors were all out of their homes. Looking up at the concrete sky. It was dark, with only the light of the houses to illuminate the gloomy streets of the town. There is a scream from down the street as the realization hits everyone at once like a shot from a bullet. The panic settles itself upon the town. People are rushing around running towards the grocery stores in a rampaging stampede. I grabbed the dog, he would keep me safe, I started sprinting towards my parents office. If I could find them I would be safe. Right? I turn the corner and continue running down the dark streets. The dog follows close behind. I hear him bark. It echoes off the rock above us. I turned my head to see a police robot was following me saying, "PLEASE REMAIN CALM CITIZEN. EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL" over and over again. I was scared for my life. I wasn't watching where I was going. I wasn't even thinking. My only train of thought was, Find mom and Dad. Survive. Find mom and Dad. Survive. Over and over my brain went. I am a block from away from my parents building. I made a run for it sprinting faster than I ever had before but when I approached the building. I was horrified. In front of me was the building. Or what's left of it at least. The building collapsed and lit with flames. My mother and father were gone. I am alone...
