THE DEATH OF Christian Campbell was tragic accident and his only daughter had to witness it. A drunk driver had somehow ended up crashing into them and Vanessa was the only survivor. The girl acted fine after everything but she wasn't. She started causing trouble, A lot of trouble and eventually got kicked out of school. Her mother, Allison struggled — with everything. Their whole family was falling apart and Allison knew her daughter needed a change, a fresh start. So she sent her to live with her sister, all the way in stars hollow.
EXTRA INFO — Allison is lorelai's older sister who got engaged and left just before her graduation. Then she had Vanessa a few years later.
