"Chosen Princess" [PART 1] Prince Joshua Lieben

* Chosen princess part 1 *

Have you ever experienced a day when
everything seems perfect? Well, today I'm
actually feeling good. The birds are chirping, a
bit cloudy but no signs of rain and although
it's sunny, the atmosphere is not that hot. A
good day to go outside and have some fun!
"Hold it right there young lady!"; I haven't even
made a step outside the palace grounds and
I'm already being scolded by a my head maid,
first thing in a morning.
"Where do you think you're going??"; A grumpy
look from Mrs. Gretelle greeted me. Seeing
her unsatisfied face makes me want to throw
myself in a window to make a run. I know
she's responsible for my well-being, but her
strict personality made me feel like I'm
walking in an eggshell inside my own home!
"I just want to check the garden?"; I answered
her in a questionable tone and she didn't even
took that as a joke.
She then made a face palm reaction; "How on
earth are you going to find a prince who can
deal with that attitude of yours?"
I exclaimed to her comment and rebut; "I
don't need a prince in my life!!"; angrily, I run
back to where I came from while holding up
my long skirt so that I won't trip over.
Because of that, she got angrier and started
chasing me too. But soon after, I felt a bit of
guilt because I'm making my maid run despite
of her age. I then decided to stop, but I lost
my balance in the process due to sudden
break and accidentally tripped over.
I heard her shout from afar but I couldn't stop
myself from spinning. As I prepare myself for
an impact on the floor, while gazing the
ceiling, I felt a hand grabbing my waist and
holds me close enough to not let me fall.
"Princess! Thank goodness.." Mrs. Gretelle
showed a sign of relief. I was too confused
that the next person who is visible from my
sight is a butler with a spiky light-brown
colored hair.
"Thank God, your highness is fast enough to
catch her."
I blinked my eyes and finally looked up to see
who had caught me. That's when I noticed a
striking violet hair colored that took my
attention first before his face.
"Honestly, did you even study how to properly
behave like a princess?"
A comment I'll never forget after seeing him
for the first time. He seems familiar though
but I can't remember. Oh yeah, the only thing
I remembered was that we have a visitor who
came here yesterday night from Dres Van. But
I wasn't able to see even a glimpse of those
visitors, because it's not lady-like to be still
awake at night they say.. I need to maintain
my girly gesture they say...
I suddenly stood up, made a step away from
him, shake off my skirt to remove some
wrinkles and greeted them politely; "I'm sorry
and thank you, uhmm, your highness??" A
questionable tone again that made my maid
bow as an apology to both of them.
"I'm sorry your highness, she is not aware yet
of your presence here as she was just about
to start her morning duties."
He raises his brows but he quickly returned
back to his formal expression, while his butler
is holding his smile. The butler, though, cough
a bit and started to speak; "If that is the case,
allow me to introduce your highness to the
princess.." As he was about to continue what
he was saying, the prince gave him a signal to
stop. The butler suddenly stops talking and
took a step back; "No, I'll introduce myself
personally since we need to pay respect."
Confused, he lifted his hand giving a gesture
of asking for my hand. I sighed as I know
what he will do, but I have no choice but to
follow because it's a tradition for greeting. I
then place my hand to his and he kissed it.
Satisfied, he looks back at me and said; "I'm
Joshua Lieben, the crowned prince of Dres
Van. Thank you for your hospitality of
accepting us here."
I see, so that's why he seems familiar. I
usually see him being interviewed in a
television. He is one of the most popular
princes within our country. There are actually
6 popular princes and girls tend to talk about
them a lot. Seeing one personally, I must say,
they really do live up to a woman's
expectations. He is such a good looking man.
But wait, what does he means by accepting
them? And what are they doing here in the
first place? Our kingdom is just a small
country and not as big as the 6 countries that
are being recognized by the Kingdom of
Charles. Still puzzled but remembers to finish
the greeting etiquette, I responded back; "You
can both stay here as much as you like, if, my
parents approve of it already then I don't want
to spoil your fun on staying here."
He seems surprise to what I just said, but I
didn't mind it since I just want to return back
into my room. So I formally excused myself
and walk away leaving them all behind.
That's where I made a huge mistake.
Because I didn't know that my parents are
planning something stupid to do to me.
So let us take this story faster, by pressing
the fast forward button.
I was greeted by a kiss from a sunlight
coming from the window. I slowly opened my
eyes to see a beautiful day. Again, everything
seems perfect. Again, I'm seeing the birds and
the sky being clear, and...
I rolled over the bed and I blinked to what I
just saw.
I actually couldn't believe it.
But after blinking multiple times, heck, I even
slapped my own cheeks to see if I'm
dreaming, but to no avail, this is the actual
reality.
Beside me, is prince Joshua..
Who is naked.
Same as me...
"....."
