I hopped on my bike, riding to school. I was exhausted. I hadn't slept at all and I was dreading the day ahead of me. The road seemed to stretch in front of me. My mind was spinning so badly, I felt like I was high on somethin'. My head was pounding and my eyes kept closing for a second too long. My bike shook as I kept waking myself up.

I finally arrived at the hell-hole and locked up my bike. I quickly walked into the school; making my presence as invisible as possible. I weaved my way through the halls, toward my locker. I unlocked the small metal door, opened it, and pulled out the books for my classes. I closed it and continued to my first class. The hallways were crowded (as usual) and it was hard to squirm my way through.

Eventually, I made it to my first class. I made my way to the back, set my books on the desk, and sat down. I let out a sigh of exhaustion and opened up my backpack. I put the books I didn't currently need inside the bag. The bell above me rang and people shuffled into the room. A few minutes later, a second bell rang and class started. I sat back as I got continous looks from the people around me. I tried to brush it off and pay attention to the teacher.

Lunch. The one part of the day that I actually look forward to. I walked into the lunchroom and walked over to the only table that would allow me to sit there. I sat down next to Eddie. The rest of his friends were talking to each other, so my presence went unnoticed. He gave me a small smile and picked up a grape from his plate.

"Where's your food, pretty boy?" He leaned back in his chair and ate the grape. I put my elbow on the table and rested my chin on my hand.

"I'm not very hungry." I said nonchalantly. Eddie snorted.

"Yeah, sure." He picked up a bag of grapes on his plate and threw them in front of me. He watched me as I opened the plastic bag. I took out a grape and popped it in my mouth.

"There, ya happy?" I scooted the bag back to him but he shook his head.

"Y/n, you need to eat more than that. C'mon." He moved the bag back to me. I grumbled a 'fine' as I ate more grapes. "Oh, I have something for you." I perked up my eyebrow as I continued eating the grapes. Eddie pulled something out of his jacket pocket and held it in his hand. He placed the small item in front of me. He gave me a large grin.

I picked the thing up and looked at it. It was a ring. It was silver with a big bat on one side of it.

I smirked. "You bought this for me?" Eddie nodded. "Thanks, man. I love it." I patted his shoulder. I put the ring on an unoccupied finger.
