I sip my tea, contemplating my own stupidity. I remind myself not to come back here, as I have every day for the past month, yet I still come back. And he's the reason. I stare into his loathsome green eyes -- deep as a rainforest with yet an undertone of the deep blue ocean -- while he takes a woman's order. A wave flushes my face as I push down the swell of emotions that flood me. Anger, disgust and, jealousy. My urges towards that woman are completely outblown; the actions I wish to take are uncalled for. Still, there are there. As much as I wish to deny them I cannot. That is the conclusion I told myself to believe days ago.

Green is bad luck, I remind myself. Coincidentally, he stumbles over his own feet as I think that, clarifying my family's so-called beliefs. So I sit, and I watch. I watch, discarding my cold tea.

"May I reheat your tea, your majesty?" A woman with a fake smile approaches me. I wave her away, uninterested. This is stupid, I scoff at myself and get up to leave. After all, my wife will be upset if I'm late for a 4th time. As I leave, I find myself staring longingly into those lovely green eyes of his. Eyes that will never look at me the same way.

"Goodbye."
