"Khalil would never." Meeka couldn't help but chuckle and Dior nodded as she braided her hair.

"And she came with the same ol story, she pregnant and blah blah blah."  Dior said and Meeka shook her head.

She had to give her an update on the whole Khalil situation.

"What he say?" She asked and Dior shrugged.

"Look it's been four months almost five. We're done. I can't be mad if he gotta a baby on the way." She said and Meeka looked at her.

"Dior you my bitch so ima keep it a bill. Yawl in love, love like that, what yawl been through that doesn't disappear." She said and Dior nodded.

"It hasn't, I love Khalil I really do but I'm not in love wit him anymore, I can't be." She sighed.

"Another five years of this? What a few kids attached while he shower me wit gifts and in and out of jail. The last time was the last time and the last bitch was jus that. " She sighed.

It was the same thing she told herself and had continued to tell herself.

"I mean I like ghetto excellence," Meeka said and  Dior rolled her eyes.

It was clear Meeka was team Khalil and Dior couldn't blame her.

Outside of the whole back and forth Khalil was perfect.  Dior just couldn't help but feel like he just wasn't for her. Meeka was sure it was the last year. The rumors of Khalil having a side bitch,  Him getting arrested, mostly with new women he was dating, and since he had no one else to call he had always called Dior. Usually, she would show up no matter the time, day or night but still she was refusing to answer his calls.

Dior thought it to be useless to block him since he would just get a new number or call block. All he wanted to know was how she was doing and for him, it was enough. Lately, those calls had lessened and Dior was indifferent about missing them.

"Bitch anyway, let's talk about our last few nights out wit Aryia." Dior said and the mood completely changed.

Meeka was no longer laughing a she shifted.

"That night you felt off too?" She asked and Meeka nodded.

"The night my granny passed. Ion I thought it was the drinks but- I mean na she wouldn't put shit in our drinks right?" Dior said and Meeka sighed.

"Honestly I had to stop fuckin wit her and the only reason I said yea last time cause yo ass already invited her." She said as she looked at Dior.

"Damn, excuse me. What am I missin?" Dior asked and Meeka waited a moment before she cleared her throat.

"Look I'm not sayin that some shit happened but... iono." Meeka said rubbing the back of her neck.

Dior looked at her.

"What you mean you don't know?" She asked.

"Before we knew your granny had passed me and Ariya was kickin it at my place and ion I woke up the next mornin in my underwear. I felt like I had taken somethin but you know, ion do drugs." Meeka said and Dior nodded.

"I mean I swear I was up in the middle of the night and she was on top of me, undressin me." She said and she said it in nearly a whisper.

Dior couldn't help but feel the hairs on the back of her neck stand up.

It was Eerily familiar a few weeks ago.

"Yea iono, I jus don't fuck wit her like that so keep her the fuck from round me." She said and Dior nodded.
