All Flowers Surely Die

I've heard your voice
Through this old landline
And each time I cry
I think of you, my dear
I look towards the sky
And think of you
As your my flower
Dancing in the wind.

And oh, my heart
Soars away when I'm with you
I fell in love
Having not seen your face
But you my dear had me locked in place
And I shed a tear
As you are my flower
That my heart holds near

Love comes fast
And unexpected to those unaware
And I felt oh so scared
When I learned I'd fallen for you
As flowers are fragile
And I didn't want to break you
My beautiful, precious flower
That I love with all my heart

And time goes by
When I can't help but think of you
I want to hold you close
I want to hold you near
But I fear you will wilt
When you are here in my arms
You are my flower
And flowers all surly wilt

I want to help you grow
Flourish beneath the shining sun
But flowers in the shade
All die in the end
I wish to stay with you
But I will only cause you harm
As you are a flower
And all flowers surely die.
