Ashraf
My father entrusted me with some crucial documents to deliver to Samson at the park. I stood there, patiently awaiting Samson's arrival. As I decided to double-check the documents, a lady suddenly approached me and collided with force, causing the papers to scatter into the air. I felt a surge of anger. Was she blind or simply oblivious?
If I had known this girl was heading my way, I would have chosen a different spot. My full attention had been on those documents, and I failed to notice her approach.
Reacting quickly, I firmly grasped her hand and pinned her against my car. She pleaded with me to let her go, but it was evident that some thugs were chasing her with knives. The mention of "knife" sent a shiver down my spine, so I allowed her into my tinted car and locked the doors.
We watched in silence as the thugs searched every nook and cranny, oblivious to our presence inside the car, shielded by the tinted windows and locked doors. We were fortunate, it seemed, and had divine protection.
After the thugs left, approximately 15 minutes later, I unlocked the car. She made a move to leave, but I stopped her, insisting that she must compensate me for the loss of those important files. I confiscated her phone and offered her a position in my company for four months, handing her my company card. To my surprise, she refused to accept it. I warned her that she would regret her decision, but she remained defiant, even attempting to call the police, unaware that her phone was no longer in her possession.
Her reaction did strike me as amusing, and I couldn't help but chuckle as she departed, claiming she wasn't willing to work for me just because I had confiscated her iPhone.
Shortly after she left, Samson called to inform me of his arrival, and I could already see him approaching. I wasn't thrilled about delivering the unfortunate news of losing those crucial files.
"Ashraf, how did this happen?" he inquired.
I recounted the entire story to him, and he reassured me, saying he would speak with my dad and explore any possible solutions. He even mentioned the possibility of sending his secretary within the next 2 to 3 months to retrieve the files if we managed to recreate them. Recreating such an important document, containing monthly, daily, and weekly profit data for the past three months, wouldn't be an easy task.
I was grateful that Samson proved to be a kind-hearted and understanding individual. After his departure, I decided to visit a nearby café for a cup of coffee. I purchased my coffee but didn't have the chance to sit down before receiving a call from an express car wash, notifying me that my car was ready. So, I left the café to retrieve it.
About 40 minutes later, I called my bodyguard to come and retrieve my car and take it home. As he left, I decided it was time for me to leave as well. However, to my surprise, I spotted that same girl.
"What are you doing here?" I inquired.
She explained that she had reconsidered her decision and was now determined to work in my company for the upcoming three months.
I couldn't let this opportunity pass, so I asked her to run an errand for me - to buy me a coffee. I teasingly remarked that she was the one being cheap, especially since she had returned for her phone. I held off giving her the company card until she brought me the coffee. When she returned, I offered to take her home, but she declined. So, I resorted to a bit of gentle persuasion, which finally convinced her to accept my offer for a ride home.
I made it clear that I would be waiting for her on Monday to see if she was truly serious about working in my company.
Time seemed to fly by, and before I knew it, today was Monday. Mondays were notorious for being hectic, with people feeling disrupted by the start of the workweek. The streets and everywhere else were crowded and bustling, especially the roads, as everyone rushed to reach their destinations on time.
