Northern Downpour by Panic! At The Disco

The Grand Hall had been filled with people, all dressed in their finest. Music hummed of playful pianos and dancing violins as everyone dressed in their finest spun circles around the dance floor. One after another is an endless celebration. Enchanted candles floated over their heads creating a sea of little stars above. The slow-burning wax had made the room smell of vanilla. It was just how Sebastian had remembered the ball when he looked at their photograph.
He was finally dreaming again he quickly realized. This hadn't only been his own memory of the night, but it was a memory with her. As he looked around the hall of familiar faces she wasn't there. That was fine though because he knew exactly where she would be that night.
Just as the memory was supposed to play out, Sebastian had left the beauty of the ball behind and began heading outside toward the dock. It was their spot and she had to be there. He had spent weeks planning out that night years ago. But the night of the ball didn't play out exactly as he had remembered.
When he got to the dock, she wasn't there and his heart dropped. Under the starry sky, he had remembered coming to search for her when she had disappeared, but he had found her right away. Sitting at the edge of the dock and playfully indulging in their memories together. Sebastian paced around the dock in denial that she hadn't been there. That was where he found her that night, that was how the dream was supposed to play out. Sebastian was going to come find her and purpose for the seventh time. Amelia won't deny him again, but she would crave their names into the wooden plank to mark them together forever. That's what was supposed to happen.
That was his memory of the night and suddenly his dream hadn't matched. When she wasn't there, he began to worry that he was having a nightmare instead. She had to be somewhere in this maze of his head. There was no point in dreaming without her.
Just as he turned to leave and head up the stairs to find her, he felt a hand on his shoulder that made him jump.
"Boo!" Amelia teased.
"For fuck's sake!" Sebastian recoiled in shock.
She hadn't been standing there a moment ago, he was sure of it, but he had no idea where she had appeared from. That night she certainly hadn't scared him like that.
But there she was. She was picture-perfect to the photograph that he had been carrying around for days. The same elegant navy dress that was embellished with little enchanted shooting stars. Long curls bounced against her cheeks as she smiled. His silver locket was around her neck. Amelia was truly breathtaking to him all of that time, but that night was special to him.
"Amelia?" Sebastian questioned. It was clearly a dream of his memory at the ball, but it didn't feel like the others. The girl in front of him looked like she had that night although the eyes looking back felt different. "Is this real?"
Amelia Blackwood didn't answer him right away.
She just slowly reached out and gently cupped his face in her hands as she looked at him. Her fingers brushed over his cheeks sweetly as her deep blue eyes studied him gently. Then slowly she ran her fingers against his jaw before pulling his chin down to her. Even pushing herself higher onto the tips of her toes to reach him.
Soft lips slowly pressing together gently. The taste of tea lingered on her lips as he began to kiss her back. "I think it's real," Amelia whispered softly between kisses.
