And here we go again!
I tried to resist, I really did. But as we all probably know by now, I have no damn restraint. So, here we are, with another fic and another OC and another world. Well... It is what it is!
Only, before you get to reading there are just a tad few things we need to address first.
Thing number one: I have thus far only watched the Netflix live action adaptation of One Piece in detail. I have been doing research and looking into the world as well as started watching the anime, but let's be honest, if I waited until I was done with that this fic would never be out. And to reiterate, I have no restraint. So, if those of you who are seasoned fans catch something that makes no sense or wouldn't fit into the world, do point it out in the comments or DM me or whatever (I don't mind spoilers so that's not an issue). But do keep in mind, whenever writing a fic that isn't set in our earthly world, I do sometimes create new things, so if you've absolutely never heard of it in the original, then it's probably my mind that is its origin.
Thing number two: UPDATES! If you've read any of my other fics and their author's note, you probably know this bit by heart. But for those who are here for the first time or don't usually read author's notes (although, if you don't I doubt you're reading this) here's the deal. I am a mood writer, meaning I write whenever inspiration strikes and I have time. And I publish as soon as I've written a chapter. That can mean there will be multiple updates a day, but it can also mean there can be stretches of time where the fic just sits and waits with an odd update here and there. I know some people have only the best intentions of showing you like the fic and enjoy reading it when leaving comments with update requests, but personally, those do nothing for me. Well, that's actually wrong, they work more to discourage me from writing than they do the opposite. (Literally, I once had an "Update pls!" comment arrive on one of my fics just as I was writing its next chapter, I ended up watching a reality show instead of finishing) So, please refrain from such comments.
Thing number three: I don't have that splendid of a mind so, naturally, One Piece and all the things you know from it do not belong to me. I only own Akira and her storyline, as well as any original pieces you do not recognize from the original sources.
Thing number four: As I've recently learned, this actually has to be specified because I've been called an actual bitch for not doing so. I do not write smut, never have, probably never will (at least, not in my fics). There might be sexual tension, and suggestions of it happening or fade to black scenes, but that is all you're gonna get. If you can't live without the smut, no judgement, but then this fic probably isn't for you.
