"Ask tsukishima to help you study then," kageyama suggested

"No. No, thank you . I don't think so.not happening I'm just going to have to fail all my exams and get held back a year and maybe just maybe it might even affect my volleyball career because nobody is gonna want Me on there team if I can't even get a good score on a test hinata panicked gradually getting higher in tone as he continued rambling

"Calm down,you don't see me panicking,"

"Not be mean or anything tobio, but I think you should be. Didn't you get a 7 out of 60 on that maths quiz we did last week ?"

"Yeah, what if I did? Not my fault they added long division on the test it threw me of all the adding and subtracting and the random zero it's just fake, " kageyama said while sipping on the last part of his milk carton

Hinata slightly nodded his head in response, trying to picture long division in his head to understand what kageyama was on about before he started speaking again

"Why don't you ask your middle school friend izumi or something like that ? You guys are like childhood friends, right? " kageyama asked

"Yeah, izumin,he's constantly got basketball practise, so I don't wanna ask to study instead of hang out when I get to see him."

"Okay, so you're telling me you've asked everyone you could possibly ask, and tsukishima is your very last option, right?"kageyama questioned

"Isn't that what I've been stressing about for the past hour? Or was that all in my head, maybe ?"

"Nope,it's all been loud and clear. I'm begging you at this point. Just ask him. It's only like a 50% chance he will say no."

"50%? How, tho?" Shoyo questioned."

"Well, he double hates me , so that's 100%, but I think he only hates you one time , so then it's like 50%. You get me?"

Shoyo stood there for a second before agreeing with kageyamas logic because somehow it just made sense, yet asking tsukishima to help him was as nerve-wracking as ever

The pair walked down the school corridor for a minute, hinata casually, talking about how intimidating he is

"I'm not nervous. I'm just scared, you know?" Hinata said as they approached a classroom

"Just go for it then," kageyama said, stopping outside class 1-4

He leaned over hinata and opened the door, and pushed hinata into the room before he could register what was going on . Just before he turned around and realised, the door was already being held shut by kageyama

"Oh no" hinata whispered under his breath because this wasn't something he could just play off he didnt know anyone in class 1-4 besides tsukishima and Yamaguchi and he couldn't say he was looking for Yamaguchi because just a few minutes ago they were in the lunch hall together

And besides, tsukishima was already staring him dead in the eye so he made his way to the back of the classroom where tsukishima was sitting with his headphones on and phone in hand tho he moved them down to his neck once hinata got closer

"And what might you want, carrot top?"
Tsukishima questioned

Hinatas nose scrunched up at the nickname

"Oh okay, well, I guess I was sort of kind. Maybe just maybe hoping you'd help me study ?"hinata said while fiddling with his fingers

"Yeah....no,"

"Please, nobody else has the time to help me,"

"I'm sure you can find someone,"

"Tsukishima, please, this is the only thing I'll ever ask you for,just this one time, please,"

Tsukishima noticed hinatas eyes starting to water. Could revision be that serious to him?

"My mom's going to make me quit volleyball if my grades don't get better."

Tsukishimas' attention flickered back to hinata, whose head was now tilted down, watching his fingers intertwine with one another

"And you're 100% sure there's nobody else who can help you right,"

"Yeah,"

"Tuesdays and Thursdays after school at my house, I'll help you. As long as you promise, you'll actually listen and won't mess around, okay?"

Hinatas head shot back up with a smile on his face and his eyelashes batting back tears that were previously formed

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I promise I'll be on my very best behaviour .
