Sat on a table in front of the sea, the three teenagers looked at eachother, not knowing where to start.

Well, nagi wasn't planning to start anywhere, not when chigiri was still there. His small knowledge on human conversations were enough to label his upcoming talk with reo as "private".

Reo wasn't planning to start neither, simply because he can't just spill the tea when the tea is sitting at his table.

Chigiri, sighting internally, was now thirdwheeling a complicated divorce after-talk. Alright, we'll speak about MY divorce later.. could be the litteral translation of his smily look toward reo.

"So.." red headed and man of the situation, the greatest chigiri hyoma broke the peasant silence with the unfailable technique of the "so.."
"Yall made up ?"

"No !"

"Yes."

The two words were prounounced at the same time, leading to a second wave of silence.

"Okay, I get it" chigiri stood up, taking his milkshake with him. "Talk this out, and Pay for the milkshake" he said with a cheeky smile as he walked away, playfully waving to his two friends.

A third wave of silence took place but, to reo's surprise, didn't last long as nagi decided to break it.

"I am sorry, Reo." He started.

Reo didn't answer right away. Not that he didn't want to, he was just too flabbergasted to place a word. Too many things were going on since this morning. First, nagi speaking to him, being touchy and talkative and now even apologizing. This had to be a fever dream.

"Wh-why are you apologizing ?" The purple asked, just to make sure they were on the same page.

"I dont know." Yeah they were probably on the same page. "Im not sure of what I did wrong but i know It hurt you, and im sorry, I didnt mean to" Nagi sounded as genuine as always, but his voice held something new in it, something like emotion, like regret.

Reo took some more few seconds to assimilate the answer given to him.
Did he believe it was honest ? Well yes, nagi's eyes never showed more desolation than at this moment.
But did he understand tho ? Hell no.
It didn't matter how hard he thought about it, he never understood what were the other's motifs there.

"You didnt mean to ?" Reo said with an unusual softness. "What didnt you mean ?" He added, a little smile taking place on his face as his tone became more sarcastic. "to pick someone you just met over me ? Or to call me a pain ? Or to let down our promi..-"

"I didnt let down our promise !" The other interrupted. "I.." he stopped to think about the better words to use, he didn't want to lose reo to another misunderstanding again. He asked his mom about it before having this talk and she said "oh son, communication is Key". Well mom I Lost my keys, but for him I might make the effort to find them again. "I only teamed up with isagi to use him and become better..." He took another stop. "I had to be great enough for us to have chances of achieving our dream.. I never let if down.."

Reo's mind wasn't completely working here. He was finally getting answers he waited for for a long time, but they didn't really make sense to him. Why would nagi need isagi to get better, nagi was already better.

"Why choose him ? Couldn't you get better with..me ?" He asked. Well, nagi was finally willing to answer what kept him at night, so reo had no reason to hold back. He wanted to know all that went on in the other's complicated yet so simple brain.
