Theodore Nott tapped his quill in boredom, wandless lessons in Charms were always the slowest. Professor Flitwick was on a drawn out lecture on the dangers of the Ascendio charm when used improperly. Theo let out a long lengthy yawn but was interrupted by Blaise nudging his side.

"Have you asked Longbottom to the Hogwarts ball yet?" The wizard asked in a whisper.

"No." Theo answered quickly, not really thinking anything of it.

"You aren't going together?" Blaise questioned, his attention fully on Theo as he eagerly awaited an answer. Theo noticed this, it didn't sit well with him.

"No- I mean we are. I didn't ask him, we are just..going together. He's my boyfriend after all. Who else would he go with?"

Blaise opened his mouth to speak but the sound of students collecting their things to leave the now finished lesson distracted him. By the time he turned back towards Theo, the Slytherin was already attempting to walk away.

"Wait!" Blaise called out, swiftly scooping up his books and jogging after his mate. "Why are you so dismissive towards me all of a sudden. We're supposed to be mates."

Theo stops walking, waiting for a few students to pass him in the hall before Turing towards Blaise to speak. "Why are you so interested in Neville all of a sudden? Once I started dating him he's all you can talk about around me. It's like you're obsessed with my boyfriend or something." He spoke in a hushed yell.

"So what if I am?" Blaise stated plainly.

Theo wasn't expecting the blatant honesty. He looked back at him unsure of what to say. On one hand he was angry because Neville was his. On the other hand, Neville wasn't actually his boyfriend.

He was upset over one true fact, he knew Longbottom fancied Zabini and he was scared of losing him. But that would mean admitting his feelings for Neville were very much real and not pretend.

"Why now?"

"I could ask you the same thing Theo, I was mates with Longbottom first. I've fancied him for awhile now, I just didn't say anything."

Theo rolled his eyes.
"And yet you aren't even on a first name basis." He scoffed to himself, walking towards the Slytherin common room once again.

Blaise ran after him, both of them stomping into the dimly lit common room. Draco and Pansy look up from the couch, catching sight of the exchange between the two wizards.

"You're so fucking full of it Theo, you're only with him to get back at Draco for dumping you." Blaise yelled, motioning towards Malfoy despite the blond not being on the conversation.

"And you picking up your Ex's best mate is so much better? Neville won't date you, you chose Luna and that's the end of it. Let him go." Theo argued.

"Ah, like you let Draco go." Blaise stated, putting his fingers up in quotations.

Draco stepped towards them, Pansy following behind him. "What does he mean by that? Do you still have feelings for me?"

Theo looked between his lot of friends, unable to say anything he turned and rushed out of the room. Draco chased after him.

Neville and Seamus were sharing some of Lavender Brown's Macrons on the green during the chilly afternoon. Finnigan went in for another chocolate while Longbottom was still eating his pistachio.

"Nice of Lavender to give you these." Neville noted.

"Oh she didn't, but that'l teach her not to leave them unaccompanied in the common room." Seamus said with a mouthful.
