Clay99: i called luke.

Addi-Gurl: What’d he say?

Clay99: no answer.

Clay99: Im sorry.

Clay99: We’ll fix this.

Addi-Gurl: I know.

 I signed off then. I sighed and got up from my computer chair.

“Mom!” i called out. she yelled a reply and i told her i was going out and that i would keep my cell phone with me. she didn't ask where i was going, probably because she was so engrossed in the new book she was writing. i pulled my hair into a messy bun before gliding out the door and down the street, headed towards alyssas house.

Her mom answered the door. She smiled warmly at me before exclaiming;

“Addison! i havent seen you around lately? how have you been? hows school?” i answered her questions half-heartedly.

“Is alyssa home?” i asked when i finally got the chance to talk. She shook her head.

“No sweetie, i’m sorry, she went to the mall with Nikki,” she made a face at the name nikki, alyssas mom, Mrs. Harris, had made a point that nikki wasn’t one of her favorite people for alyssa to be around. “Would you like me to drive you there so you can meet up with them?” I told her no thank you and she hugged me goodbye, telling me to come back soon. I started to walk down their driveway and listened to see when she shut the door. she finally did. i ran back up to the porch and sat on the steps. I would wait here until she got home. i silently prayed nikki wouldnt want to stay the night at her house and come with her. that would mean i would have to talk to her too.

After about half an hour, right as it started to get dark, a car headlights blinded me. I saw a short silhouette jump out from the car, Alyssa. I didnt see anyone else get out so i was automatically relieved. she danced her way up to the porch softly singing justin biebers “Never say Never”.

“But theres just no turning back,” she sang off tune. i started to chuckle, trying to stay quiet but my laugh just got louder. “When your hearts under a-hhhhh!” she screeched. i stopped laughing.

“Who's there?” she yelled backing up.

“Alyssa its me, addison.” i said and she froze. She slowly started walking forward.

“What do you want?” she sneered. i knew this wasnt the alyssa i knew, this was a colder, meaner, less lively girl.

“I want to talk.” I breathed hoping she wouldn't tell me to go home.

“Well i guess you can come in.” She unlocked the door with her key and went inside. She hollered to her mom that she was home before jogging up the stairs, me close behind her.
