Toothless' past

Life begins.

Slowly I opened my eyes. I saw two nightfuries looking at me. I sat up. I yawned. One of them licked me. I purred. My mom,Nightflower,smiled."well how should we call him?" She asked the other nightfury,my dad,darkfire. He looked at me. "Blueflame?" She looked at me and nodded. "Welcome to the family. Little Blueflame." I looked at them with big eyes. Then yawned. "Ahw." She smiled and curled up around me. I looked at her. "Go sleep sweetie." She licked me over my head. I closed my eyes and fell asleep. Darkfire lied down by her. And licked her gently. She smiled happily and looked at me. "He looks like you.." she said. He smiled. "He got your beautiful eyes." He said. Weeks pasted by. I woke up slowly. It was early in the morning. Mom and dad still slept I saw. Suddenly I heard a sound coming from the nest. *Crack!* I walked to it sleepy and looked at the eggs. I saw one was about to hatch. I looked with big eyes at it,amazed. As it explode. I jumped back. Fell on the ground. Nightflower woke up and looked at the eggs. "Darkfire wake up! One of the eggs hatched!" Darkfire woke up slowly. "Huh..? What..?" I stood up slowly and looked at the little white nightfury. "One of the eggs hatched!" Nightflower said and walked to the nest. Her eyes widen. "..It is white..." she said. Darkfire stood up and walked to us. "...I never saw a white nightfury..." Slowly the little nightfury opened it's eyes. They were light blue. Nightflower looked at her new child and smiled. "..it is a girl..that means that you got a sister Blueflame." She said and looked at me. I looked at my new sister and smiled happily. "How should we call her?" Darkfire asked. "..ehm.....Blossom?" Nightflower asked. Darkfire nodded. He was happy but somewhere worried. Because Blossom was white the hunters and other humans should see her faster then them. I climbed in the nest. Blossom looked at me with big eyes. And tried to stand up. I was so happy that I had finally someone to play with. I licked her, she purred and chuckled. Our parents looked at us and smiled. Blossom looked tired. I lied down, she did the same and fell asleep. A few months later. One more egg had hatched. It was a boy. Our little brother was called lightning. He was black like me and had Very dark green eyes. but there was a slight of yellow in his eyes. The rest of the eggs hadn't hatched. I knew my parents were worried about them. I looked everyday at the eggs when I woke up but nothing happened. I was playing with Blossom,lightning was still sleeping by mom. Dad said to us that we had to stay in the cave till we were old enough to go out. He told us stories about vikings who killed dragons,and dragon hunters who killed dragons for joy. I understood the world was a dangerous place for dragons to live in. It was kinda bored to stay in the cave the whole time,but it was the most safe place to be for us. I looked to outside. Wondering what was all out there,when Blossom suddenly jumped on me. I looked surprised at her. Then laughed. She laughed too. Nightflower looked at us and smiled. As Darkflame  lands by the cave. He had caught fish..but I saw he was injured. Nightflower saw it too and stood up and runned to him. Lightning woke up and looked at them. "What happened?" Nightflower asked worried. Looking at his wounds. He smiled in pain. "D-don't worry..just h-had a fight with a whispering d-death.." I felt suddenly cold by hearing that name. I shoke a bit. A-a whispering death?! Darkfire saw me look scared. He walked to me and licked me. "It is okey..i-i am okey..and you are safe as long you stay in the cave..okey?" He said. I nodded slowly. He smiled. Nightflower looked still worried. "I go find herbs for your wounds..go lay down..and rest.." she said. He sighed and nodded. Lied down in the cave. I lied down by him, blossom and lightning did the same. Nightflower flew away to go find herbs. She landed by a lake and looked around for herbs. As suddenly smelled something near her. Humans! She turned around quickly as a net caught her. She tried to break free as a group of hunters came out the bushes. She growled at them. "Ah look what we got here.." One of them said and smirked. She growled louder. "..A nightfury...." he said. She tried to get free,but couldn't. The hunter pushed her down with his foot and held his sword on her head. "I should not try to escape..nightfury.." She looked down as suddenly got a idea. Her back and head lighted up and the ropes burned away. She jumped on the man and flew up. "Don't let it escape!" The man shouted. The others react immedantly and shot arrows. She dodged them but as they shot again one hit her side. She screamed of pain but continue flying as fast she can. She saw the cave and landed but fell down. Darkfire looked up and saw her. "Nightflower!!" He stood up and ran to her. I looked up and saw her laying in her own blood on the ground. She breathed heavily. "Y-you need to leave..t-the hunters..will come here..a-and kill you.." Darkfire licked her. Looking very worried and teared up. "N-no..i..i am not leaving you.." he said with a shaking voice. She smiled sad and weakly. "..y-you need to bring the childern to safety..i-i am too injured to f-fly.." she licks his cheek. "G-go.." He looked at her then at us. And nodded. "I-i love you..." he said crying. And licked her. I walked to them. I looked at my mother. I had no idea what was going on. She looked at me and smiled weakly. I lied down by her. My brother and sister came too. She licked us. "..i-i will miss you...and remember I love you all.." Darkfire picked us up and set us on his back. I don't wanted to leave mom. I jumped of his back and lied down by her again. He looked at me in tears. "N-no Blueflame you can't stay by her...we need to leave.." he picked me up again. He looked at nightflower. She had her eyes closed,barely breathing. He flew up with us on his back. "M-...mom!" I screamed. It was my first word I said..but she never will hear it.. I couldn't believe we left mom..i just couldn't. But dad said we had to continue our lives. He wanted to train us. To learn us protect ourselves,and how to fight. Mom would have said he was crazy,and that we still are too young. But dad said it doesn't matter in this world,in this time. It was war between dragons and humans. It was a week after we had left mom. Dad said she was dead, but I couldn't believe him. When everyone had fell asleep, I opened my eyes and got up. I quietly walked out the cave. And flew away. I flew to our old cave and saw mom still laying there. But i saw she had a spear in her back. I couldn't breath for a moment and almost fell down. I landed by her and walked to her slowly. "M-mom?..Mommy!" I nuzzled her. She didn't move. I started to tear up. "M-mom..! M-mom..!!" I said crying. I looked at the cave. I saw egg shells laying on the ground. They we're broken up. I slowly walked closer. My eyes widened, I couldn't move anymore. All eggs who hadn't hatched were broken. Everywhere lied blood of what maybe had been my siblings. I doesn't noticed there was a hunter behind me now. The hunter grabbed me by my tail. I looked surprised and scared at him. "I know one of them would come back. Hello little devil." He smirked. I tried to get free and growled scared at him. He laughed. "You come with me devil.." I was still trying to get free. Suddenly I saw Blossom. I sighed to her that she had to go find dad. She nodded and flew away. I sighed relieved. Hoping the hunter or other hunters not had saw her. The hunter put me in a iron box. It was so dark there. I saw nothing. Almost couldn't breath. 3 days later  I was still in the box. Hungry,thirsty, and cold and weakly. The hunters gave me no food or water. I heard them laugh. Blossom hadn't come back with dad. I thought because they didn't knew where I was. I was very worried about them. I tried for the umpteenth time to get free. But I was too weak. I wined in pain. Suddenly I heard the men scream. I heard..my dad! I relt how someone picked the box up. "Blueflame?! You okey son?!" I heard my dad ask. "D-dad!! I am in here!" I said crying and weakly. I felt that I could faint in a minute. "D-..dad..i-.." It went black for my eyes. I heard my dad's voice faraway..but then his voice disappeared. It was completly black around me. I heard or felt nothing anymore.. Till I saw a bright light. I wanted to go to it as I heard my sister's voice. "B-blueflame!! B-blueflame! Please wake up!! Wake up!!" I heard she was crying. I tried to open my eyes. "..I-i don't want to..lose you t-too!" I felt she bit in my ear. "Blossom enough!" I heard my dad yell. "Look! H-he is waking up!" I heard Lightning say. I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Blossom laying next to me. She smiled brightly when she saw I was awake. She licked me. Darkfire looked relieved then angry. "Blueflame..how could you sneak away! You almost died!" I looked at him scared and starts to sob. He shoke his head and walked to me then licked me. "Ssh..it is okey..i..You just scared me to death and I was worried sick about you.." I looked at him in tears. He lied down around us. Lightning lied down on his back. "We will always stay together.." Darkfire said. 5 years past. I was catching fish. Blossom sat next to me. Lightning was running after some birds. I looked at him and smiled. Then continue catching fish. Dad was looking for another cave..again. But he was two days gone now. Blossom looked worried at the sky. I looked at her. "He will come back..he promised." I said. She looked at me. "Blueflame..what as the humans caught him and killed him?" She asked in tears. I licked her. "Don't worry." I smiled at her. But from the inside as afraid as she was that dad might died. I stared at the water. Hoping he would come back. Lightning looked at us. And walked to us. Suddenly in tears he walked to me and nuzzled me. "..i-i miss daddy..." I looked at him. And nodded. "Me too..we all do..but we have to wait till he comes back..lets go back to the cave." They nodded and walked back to the cave. I grabbed the fishes and walked after them. I didn't liked when someone is sad. I wanted to make them happy..but maybe I couldn't.. Maybe dad never came back..
