"Geez Kat. Do you think you have enough glitter on that poster?" Colby asks laughing as he spots her handmade poster while she enters the backseat of the car, Sam already in the passenger seat.

"There's no such thing as enough glitter." She replies beaming down at her work of art.

It was a 22x28 white poster board, decked out in blue and gold glittery words that read 'I 🩵 #20!' and bordered with UCLA duct tape that she found on Ebay.

"I think it looks great babe," Sam says looking back at her with a smile. "Izzy will love it too."

"Thank you. At least someone appreciates my masterpiece." She says as she playfully glares at Colby through the review mirror and sticks her tongue out at him.

It was a bit of a drive to Wallis Anneburg Stadium, home to the UCLA Bruins men's and women's soccer teams, so the entirety of the ride was mainly filled with music and pointless chatter.

This would be Colby's first time going. He's never been a fan of soccer and also didn't understand some of the rules so he never really bothered with it. Kat finally convinced him to join her and Sam for the opening game of the season for the lady Bruins. Kat's gone to every home game for the past three years in support of her hometown best friend, Isabelle. Sam has been able to join her for majority of them when he wasn't busy. It was now Izzy's senior year so this season was extra special.

Being that Kat liked to get to the games early to share their handshake and watch her best friend do her traditional backflip onto the field, there was barely anyone there, allowing the trio to choose their pick. Kat always found it best to be in the middle section up a couple steps, so that's where they sat.

After a few minutes, the chatter of the team filled Kat's ears. Leaving the boys and the poster behind, she went up to the railing to greet her best friend.

Once Izzy spotted Katrina, a smile grew on her face and she pulled her headphones off her ears. It's been over 2 months since the girls last saw each other. Even though they live in the same city and summer break just passed, it's been hard with their busy schedules. Kat filming YouTube videos for herself and her boyfriend and his friend while also trying to break into the singing industry. Izzy working almost full-time at a local sports bar and grill during the summer while keeping herself in shape and interning at 'Aquarium of the Pacific' in Long Beach.

"Hi Katrina!" "Hi Izzy!" The girls give each other the best hug they possibly can with the railing in the way.

"Ready for this season?" Kat asks as they separate but keeping their hands together.

"You know it." Izzy winks. "Oh, and look!" She turns into her bag to pull out a blue arm band with a gold letter 'C' on it.

"Oh my god! You got named a captain! I'm so proud of you!" Kat squeals as she hugs her friend again.

"Okay, okay. I gotta get to warm-ups." Izzy says laughing. The girls do their little hand shake.

Palm to palm, back to back, slide from forearm to fingertips, pinkies interlock, hands twist so thumbs can meet up, hands twist again with their fingers curved to make a heart. It's been a tradition of their's since high school.

"Oh. And can you record my backflip for every game that you come to? I want to put a compilation of each one I do at the end of the season." Izzy pleads.
