There was a book the wandering ghost had left behind. Light found it, amongst other bits the ghost of his friend left. And Light took it back with him. Amongst the other bits, three other articles stood out.
There was a dull green jumper (more grey than it was green, but it was well cared for until then... ...now), a faded yellow jumper with a large slash across the front of it and a larger hole that was where Sabre had pointed out the "heart" to be on his species the larger hole was continued onto the other side. It took Light a horribly long time to realise it was from a stab wound.
Inside the yellow jumper, the uncoloured steve -who was of the orange race originally- found a horribly water logged book. There was no way of returning the book to its former self...
But back to the book Light took with him. This book was also hidden like the waterlogged one, but im the grey jumper (Light refused to acknowledge it as a green jumper. It may have been once, but not anymore) instead. This book was titled "things I remember" and from the brief glance at the handwriting, it was Sabre's.
When he reached his house, he went through his usual routine, but he diverted before he went to cook dinner.
He instead sat down on his sofa -one of the many he had watched Sabre create (other Steves joined in eventually but it was one of Sabre's craft and as he hadn't taught anyone nothing was as well made or as comfortable as Sabre's) and opened the book.
