It wasn't anything new, Leo had even seen his naked butt one time, and this wasn't even very revealing. Sunlight streamed in through the windows, Leo put on a t-shirt and he'd already put on pants. Vincent tried and failed to look away. Leo claimed to be scrawny, but Vincent couldn't take his eyes off.
Fuck.
Thankfully, Leo didn't seem to notice he was awake. Vincent tried to steady his breathing and pretended to be asleep.
It wasn't even a crush, Vincent tried to convince himself. He just happened to be attracted to men and his best friend just happened to be a guy. He was just noticing that his best friend was attractive, that's all.
Not a crush.
Because Leo meant the world to him and he wasn't going to fuck up a friendship for something as stupid as this.
Six months he'd stayed at camp with Leo and for six months his... whatever this was, was slowly getting harder and harder to ignore. At first he thought it was old feelings bubbling up again but now he thought it was maybe just surface level attraction.
Leo wasn't... bad to look at.
He was a person Vincent could truly be himself around and he felt like home. That's all.
"Vince I know you're awake."
"Fuck you," Vincent rolled onto his stomach and even though he couldn't breathe with his face buried in the pillow, he refused to move. The covers were completely off him and Leo's room was really fucking cold. Without Leo by his side, Vincent hated how he shivered a little.
"It's so cold."
"Maybe you should wake up, querido."
Querido.
"Maybe you morning people should fuck off," Vincent grumbled back. If it wasn't clear, he did not like mornings at all. Leo however, loved to wake up at the ass crack of dawn.
"Vinceeeeee," Leo whined, "We're in Kansas."
"Okay Dorothy, do you need help finding the wicked witch of the west?"
"Wake up! It's not even that early, man."
"It's not even that early— bleh," Vincent mumbled mockingly, "Fuck you, let me sleep."
"I'll keep some coffee ready for you then?" Leo said and there was a sound of the door opening. Vincent really didn't want him to go, but knowing Leo he was probably going to overwork himself until he died. At least this way, Vincent had coffee.
"I'll be up in ten," He sighed.
He did not in fact get up in ten.
By the time he woke up, it was eleven in the morning and his coffee had to be reheated, which Leo did without complaint. Percy, Piper and Jason had already left for the Topeka sign that Piper had seen in her magic prophetic dagger or whatever— no one told Vincent anything these days apparently.
"'Morning," He greeted Frank, Annabeth and Hazel as he walked into the lounge with a cup of coffee.
"You look terrible," Annabeth barely glanced at him.
"Thank you."
"It wasn't a compliment."
"I'm choosing to take it as one." Vincent gave her a sarcastic smile, "That's how you avoid bullying. If they try to be mean, you just say thank you. It annoys them so much."
