❝ 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒑𝒕𝒉𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒎𝒆 ,
There is only a sliver of light I see ,
It begins to show, ridding myself of melancholy ,
An image of you; a beautiful artwork I can gaze at with glee .
𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆 𝒎𝒆—𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝒂𝒘𝒐𝒌𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒆 ,
You are the reason I can go on—like a fire in the rain, refusing to wane .
You are a piece of me I no doubt treasure ,
The amount of love I contain for you cannot be measured .
𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒆𝒆 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒗𝒊𝒆𝒘 ,
A tunnel neverending .
I begin to take large steps to get further into you ,
Yet it seems I’ve reached nowhere even with the distance I’m treading .
𝑯𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒆𝒏 𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒐𝒘𝒏 ,
Within the portals of rainwater’s fallen crown ,
With the growing space between us in this ghost town ,
Skies darken and flame extinguishes, my pace stops and I’m left with a frown. ❞
