Once the final school bell rang, signaling the end of the day, I eagerly made my way back to my room, yearning for some well-deserved rest. But as I pushed open the door, I was met with an unexpected surprise. A plushie came hurtling toward me, but my reflexes kicked in just in time, allowing me to deftly sidestep the soft projectile. "Holy fuck, what the..." I exclaimed, taken aback by the sudden intrusion.

I turned my attention to the person responsible for the plushie assault. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to hit you. It's an habit of mine to throw something when startled," the girl explained, offering her apologies with a sheepish grin.

"It's okay. What's your name?" I asked, deciding to put the unusual encounter behind us.

She introduced herself with a warm smile, "I'm cady Harrison nice to meet you, uh." she said as she waited for my introduction

"I'm Alexandre brooks but you could call me Alice for short," I responded. I moved to my bed and placed my bag down, "well Alice hope we could become friends sooner or later" cady said as she smiled at me before returning her attention back to her book. Exhaustion weighed heavily on me, and I couldn't wait any longer. I quickly changed into more comfortable clothes and succumbed to the allure of sleep.

The following day, I awoke early, and as its the weekend i pondering if I should visit the library to make progress on my thesis. So I got ready and headed to the campus library. I had always been dedicated to my studies since I was a kid, and that dedication seemed to be the reason my dad had chosen me for... something.  But aside that, The library was my sanctuary, a place where I could lose myself in books and forget about the worries of the past and future.

As I sat in the quiet atmosphere of the library, immersed in my thesis textbook, I was caught off guard by an unexpected presence. A voice broke the silence, asking, "Excuse me, do you mind if I sit here?" I looked up and met the gaze of a boy with warm brown eyes and a friendly smile. He held a stack of books in his arms, and his slightly tousled hair hinted at a busy morning.

"Sure, go ahead," I replied, offering a polite welcome. The boy took a seat across from me, his books resting on the table.

We began to study side by side, maintaining a companionable silence, interrupted only by occasional glances exchanged between us. My curiosity grew, and I couldn't help but steal a few more glances at him. Who was this boy, and why did he choose to sit in front of me when there were plenty of empty seats elsewhere? Lost in thought, I shifted my attention from my textbooks to this intriguing stranger.

Hours drifted by, and the sun began to set, casting long shadows throughout the library. The boy decided to break the silence once more. "I'm Luke, by the way," he said with a chuckle, as if he had sensed my curiosity.

I smiled and introduced myself in return, initiating a conversation that flowed naturally between us. Luke was studying literature, while I was pursuing a degree in psychology. We delved into discussions about our shared interests, classes, and academic endeavors.

As we conversed, it became evident that we shared a lot in common, and our discussions flowed effortlessly. Laughter filled the air as we exchanged anecdotes and stories from our lives.

In the days that followed, our chance encounter in the library evolved into a daily routine. We would frequently meet there, studying together or enjoying a good book. After about a week or so, we found ourselves gradually becoming close friends.

One day, Luke and I settled into our usual spots in the library and picked up a copy of "The Lord of the Rings." It was a choice made more out of curiosity and the allure of adventure than any specific literary inclination. After a few hours of reading, Luke broke the silence. "Hey, want to grab some coffee?" he asked, his eyes fixed on me.

I pondered for a moment before responding, "Sure." After considering our options, we decided to explore a charming coffee shop we had heard about. We quickly gathered our jackets and belongings and headed out the door, ready for another adventure.
