Lauren's POV

I quickly put the pasta into the water, and then grabbed two wine glasses. Pouring an equal amount of the beverage in to both of the glasses, I set them down on the table, an lit the candles. I looked around to see if everything was in place. Noticing I had my cellphone on the table, I quickly threw it into the draw, by the couch. I can't have Dinah's constant calling and texting ruin my perfect night with my date. Once I hear the light knock on the door, I take a deep breath, fix my shirt, and head to the door. When I open it, I am met with chocolate colored skinned girl, who I once loved. I smile lightly, and let her in.

"Nice place, Lo."

"Well, it's a suite.. But thanks." I chuckle lightly. This is so weird. "Umm.. Please have a seat. Dinner should be ready soon." I say pulling out the chair for the girl to sit. She smiles, and sits.

"You know Lauren, pizza would've been fine." Normani said.

"Nah, that's not a meal for a queen like you." I said. Good one Lauren.

"You're sweet." She said, looking down.

"Thanks beautiful." I left the room, and went to the kitchen. I quickly dished up our food, and anxiously made my way back to Normani.

"This looks delicious Lo. Thanks."

"You're welcome." I smiled, taking the first bite of the food.

LATER IN THE EVENING

"Here, let me help." Normani said, grabbing the plate from my hand and drying it off.

"Thanks." I said lightly.

"Lauren, in all seriousness, why did you call me over here?" Normani asked, facing me.

"Well, I wanted to see you.. I missed you." I said, trying to sound truthful.

"Yeah right. You are in love with Dinah, who is unfortunately my loser best friend."

"She's not a loser." I said through gritted teeth.

"Please Lo, she can't even take care of her damn daughter. She's pathetic, ugly, stupid, and don't even get me started on her style." Normani said, in a complete bitchy tone.

"She's beautiful. She's a great mom. She's perfect. You're the total opposite. You have a pretty face, but an ugly personality. You would probably be a terrible mom, because everything has to be about you, and frankly.. You're eventing but perfect. You're just a bitch." I said trying to control my temper.

"Excuse me?" She scoffed.

"You heard me. I can't believe I called you over here. Get out. Now!" I said, walking her to the door, pushing her out, and shutting it in her face. I took a big breath, and walked over to the couch. I heard my phone go off. I pulled it out to see it was just another text from Dinah. Within seconds I found myself doing something that I needed to do. I hit the call button on Dinah's contact. It rang for about 20 seconds until I heard the beautiful voice that was literally music to my ears.

"H-h-hello?" She stuttered out.

"I'm sorry. God I'm sorry. I was just upset that you could do that to me, but I didn't even give you a chance to explain. I just.. I feel terrible. I know what it feels like to not be able to explain, and I should've let you explain before I freaked out, and said some stupid shit. I love you so much, and I can't lose you. I miss you so damn much-"

"I love you. It's okay." She said, laughing lightly.

"I love you too." I said, sighing. She began laughing uncontrollably.

"What?" I asked.

"Alayah fell asleep face first in her spaghetti." Dinah said continuing to laugh. I miss them.

"Can I come see you?" I blurted out.

"Lauren.. There's nothing I would want more, but.. You're on a world tour. You're in New York.. I'm in California." She said quietly.

"Please Dinah. I have two weeks off until I leave the country. I miss you. I miss Alayah." I said, on the verge of tears. It was silent for about a minute, until she finally spoke.

"Yes, you can come." She said, a hint of happiness in her voice.

"Omg! Yes! Text me your address. I'll be there in the morning." I said.

"Okay. Lauren?"

"Yes baby?"

"I love you. I can't wait to see you."

"I love you too baby. See you soon." I quickly hung up, buying my ticket, packing my bag, and going to the airport.

I'm coming home baby. I'm coming.
