The moment you realised I was in your womb,
You started living your life for me.
You compromised with all the scars and stretch marks,
You put your life at risk while giving birth to me,
You sacrificed all your happiness for mine.
I was ill, but you were hurt
I had exams, but you stayed up all night
I went through bad days, but you bore the pain
As a teenager, my priorities started shifting gradually
But your priority was only me from the very first day
And now, as I have grown up
I'm here realising all your sacrifices, all your love
And all your pain
Your Love is beyond anything and anyone
Mother, I salute you.
