New girl in town - Steve Harrington

It's the summer of 1985 you just moved to Hawkins Indiana with your mom, dad & younger sister Emma. You didn't really want to move to a new place but your parents thought it would a be a great fresh start.

You're finally all settled into your new home. As you are hanging some posters on your wall, you hear your mom calling you to come downstairs. You finish hanging the poster and walk down the stairs.

"Hey mom! What's up?" You asked confused

"Y/n, I think you should get a job this summer. Maybe you can even make some new friends. I heard they have some places hiring at the starcourt mall. Maybe you can go check them out?

You didn't really want to work this summer, but your mom was right. Maybe you could make some friends this way.

"Okay! I'll go down there now and try to find one."

"Bye mom!" You wave at her grabbing your backpack and walking outside to your bike

"Bye honey! Be careful!"

•At The Mall•

You finally get to the mall. It's huge and there's loads a people. You go up to one of the little kiosk desks and see all of the jobs available in the mall.

"Hm. Maybe I'll try scoops ahoy. I mean that seems like the best job ever. Being paid to be around ice cream."

You walk into scoops ahoy, and are greeted with a girl with short hair.

"Hi, welcome to scoops ahoy! My names robin! How can I help you?" She smiles

"Hello! My names y/n, and I'm actually here about the job application!"

"Okay! Just fill this paper out and then I'll take a look at it." She says grabbing a paper from behind her

"Okay!" You say with a smile, then turning around walking away

As you take a seat you start filling out the paper. It has the basic info on it like name, phone number, why I would qualify, etc. It didn't take that long to fill it out.

You walk back to the girl and hand it to her. She's looks it over for a few minutes.

"Y/n. Welcome to scoops ahoy! I'll see you tomorrow!"

"Thank you! I'll be here!"

•Back Home•

"Mom! Dad! I'm home!" You shout closing the front door

"So, how'd it go honey?" My mom says meeting me in the kitchen

"It actually went really well! I got a job at the ice cream place in the mall, 'Scoops Ahoy'!" I say smiling then grabbing some grapes from the fridge

"That's amazing sweetie!" She beams

"I start tomorrow!" I state

"Did you see anyone your age?" She asks

"Yes, actually!"

"The girl who hired me was in my grade I think. Her name is Robin." I say eating a few more grapes

"Maybe you two will become friends." She smiles at me
