In halls of youth where hearts reside,
I guarded mine, with single pride,
Scars of past, like shadowed mast,
Whispered caution, feelings, don't cast.
New city lights, corporate rings,
Life unfolded without strings,
Yet midst the chatter, digital scroll,
A vision appeared, that touched my soul.
Amidst the common, there you were,
A Bindi's grace, pink saree's lure,
Waves of hair that framed a dream,
A sudden pause in life's stream.
Oh, the wars my mind had fought,
A thousand scripts my heart had wrought,
To tell you, simply, worlds apart,
The sheer beauty, you impart.
One eve, courage bloomed in heart,
A simple text, to play my part,
"You're Pretty," said with a sigh,
Your gentle reply made spirits high.
