EPILOG 2

6 MONTHS LATER

Palak's POV

Today was the day I dreamed of when I was just a teen. Today was my marriage and I was marrying the best man, my man. And the best part except the groom is that we decided to get married in the same haveli where di got married.  I was getting ready when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in.", I said. "It's time for your entry.", pappa said with a voice crack. I hugged him. "Kitni jaldi bada ho gaya na mera baccha.", he said tightening his grip around me. "Bacchi toh mai abhi bhi hu pappa.", I said trying not to cry. "Chale ab.", pappa said holding my hand.

It was finally the time. I took a deep breath before entering.

When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful

I don't deserve this

Darling, you look perfect tonight

I couldn't breathe the moment I saw her. It just hit me after I saw her. I am getting married to the love of my life. 4 years ago, if someone would have told me this will ever happen, I would have laughed on their face. But now this is all I want. Just to be able to spend the rest of my life with her. I can imagine both of us at the age of 80, sitting on the terrace eating Chhole Bhature and looking back at all the memories.

"Bhai ghurna bandh kar. Teri hi hai.", Virat bhai whispered in my ear. "Kya bhai aap bhi!", I said blushing. Finally, she was sitting next to me. Up close she was even more beautiful. I am going to lose it if she doesn't stop blushing right now. God, itni khubsurat biwi dedi ki nazar hi nhi hatt rahi. Aisa thodi hota hai?

After some of the ceremonies, it was time for 'var mala'. All my bhais stood up and I got ready as I thought that they would pick me up to tease her. To my surprise, they went over to Palak's side and picked her up. Peak level betrayal. "Bhai! aap meri side pe ho.", I said glaring towards them. "Nhi bhai tere paas height ka advantage hai aur hum fair play mai mante hai.", Rohit bhai replied.

I somehow managed to put the mala around her. And for her, she did it with way more ease to say the least. We were taking 7-phera now. To be honest, 7 lives wouldn't be enough to express my love for her but I will love her till I can.

After the wedding ended, we went to our house where my family was waiting for Palak's Gruh Pravesh. She was sobbing silently, sitting beside me. I hugged her. "I know no amount of love can suffice the amount of love a father gives to his daughter, but I promise to love you more than I'm capable of.", I said making her look at me. She smiled giving me a peck on my cheeks.

My family welcomed her by tons of hugs. Just like I expected. After the completion of Gruh Pravesh, we headed to our room while my family headed back to their home. Palak insisted for them to stay with us but my parents thought it would be better to let us have our own little world.

That night, we laid on the terrace starring at the stars. I couldn't help but think of everything all over again. Only she was capable enough to make me believe in love again. It has always been her and nothing can change my mind.

"I love u.", I said kissing her. "I love u more.", she said breaking the kiss. "U bet!", I said and there goes our endless bickering about who loves the other one more.

~THE END~

Also don't forget to check out 'Platonic Love' which is the book about Ishan and Aarohi. I'll be publishing it tomorrow morning or tonight itself.

Don't stop praying for our boys. Risk nhi lene ka.
