"This is bullshit." I tell Sam and Roberto as I walk into the kitchen, handing Berto my bowl to clean the next morning.
"The cereal?" Berto tries to joke, but I'm not sure if he's trying to make me feel better or if he's trying to make himself smile.
"You know what I mean." I cross my arms, and Sam tilts his head to the side.
"Is that my shirt?" He asks, and I glance down at the oversized grey shirt I'm wearing.
"Yes! What does it matter? Reyes is going-" I cut myself off and all three of us look out of the kitchen, stopping what we're doing when we hear the howling. Roberto throws off his gloves and Sam sets his bowl of cereal down, all three of us rushing out into the hallway. Reyes shouts at us to stay back once we get to the bathroom where the howling is coming from, and the moment she opens the door Rahne rushes out...in wolf form. All three of us rush after her, and she stops at the next door in the hall and transforms back to normal, crying from the pain. Reyes throws her coat over Rahne, and I look back at Dani.
"Oh my god..." Sam exclaims once he sees the 'W' freshly burned onto her neck, the thing causing her this much pain.
"Is that real?" Roberto asks, squinting at it and then looking at Reyes. "That's real! See, I told you, this shit's real!"
"What happened to her?" Dani shouts from down the hallway, swaying a bit.
"You happened." Illyana's voice comes from the end of the hallway behind Dani, and me and Dani turn in unison to look at her. "It's Dani." She tells the rest of us, and I take a deep breath. "It's all Dani."
"I didn't do anything." Dani shakes her head slightly.
"You brought this evil here!" Illyana stops walking, tilting her head back slightly and looking Dani up and down. "I now know your power, new girl." She transforms her arm, and just her arm. "Let me show you mine."
"Illyana, no powers!" Reyes shouts as Illyana's eyes glow blue and she lunges at Dani, choking her and...taking her into Limbo. It lasts no longer than fifteen seconds, though, when Illyana screams and repels off and away from Dani, scrambling back into Reyes' arms. Reyes injects her, and I shout for her to let her go, but she just gives me a look. Illyana tells Reyes something I can't hear before blacking out, and Reyes drags her down the hallway. Dani stumbles up to her feet as Roberto and Sam kneel over Rahne, and Dani turns to face me.
