Ethan, Benny, and I were walking down the hallway, having a conversation. I had promised my parents that I'll do all that I can to protect my friends, especially Ethan. The training with my mom and dad was worth it. Mom taught me how to hone in on my mermaid magic. My dad and I fought with each other, using some bo staffs. I really enjoyed training with them. Thanks to them, I'm a better quadbrid.
"Think about it, dude and dudette. Anything we want. Cash, cars, candy." said Benny.
"So you only use magic spells for stuff that starts with C?" said Ethan, mentioning it to him.
"Once, we were lowly high-school noobs... now we're vampire-killing, spell-casting rock stars. The world is our oyster."
"Have you ever actually had oysters? Not something you wanna swallow. More like something you cough up." I said, honestly.
"Yeah, nice. Nice image to start the day. But there's the image I need." said Benny, looking at Della. "I know you're the "seer" and all, but I can see her with me."
"Keep the magic on the down-low, remember? Life just got back to normal." said Ethan, warning him.
"Would you relax? I got this." Benny made flowers appear as he made his way over to Della.
Sarah walks over to us, wanting to talk to Ethan. "Can I talk to you?"
"Hey. How is it? What's new?" said Ethan, asking her.
"Can I borrow $20, friend? It's for a good cause."
"Twenty dollars? Like, now? Um..."
We looked at Benny and he shrugged his shoulders, watching Della cry with the flowers in her hand.
Benny walks back over to us after he got done talking to Della. "Awesome news. Della's dog died."
"And that's good news?" said me and Sarah, in unison.
"Yeah."
"Nice. I've gotta go. Later." Sarah walks away from us.
"She said she loved my flowers. And then she said she'd do anything to bring her dog back. Anything."
"Yeah."
"What if somebody magically brought her dog back? Can you imagine how grateful she'd be?"
"No. No, Benny. You cannot bring her dead dog back to life." I said, disagreeing with him.
"Won't know until we try, right?" Benny walks away from us.
"Benny. Stop. If Harry Potter were here, he'd smack you around." said Ethan, following him with me by his side.
There's no way that Benny is bringing that dog back to life just so he can be with Della. I might need to talk to my parents about it. Maybe Ethan can stop him from doing it.
