I hate crying..” Nara mumbled on the couch with her head on his chest, finding comfort in the rhythmic beat of his heart as she pouted, making him giggle as he nodded before patting her head. “Is it wrong to have new friends?” She asked, looking up at him with her brows frowned. The two got on the couch to cuddle after letting Nara cry her tears dry for 20 minutes on the floor and a Disney movie still playing in the background.

“There’s nothing wrong with having new friends.” He replied and gave her a small smile as he gently ran his fingers through her hair. “But it is wrong to stop spending time with your old friends after having a few new friends.”

I do spend time with you guys. You’re the one who is always busy.” She pulled away from him before crossing her arms to her chest, making the male giggle again and apologized. “Plus how did you know I was here? Yi En is the only one who knows about this apartment.” Instead of answering her, he just shrugged his shoulders. Nara’s eyes widened, knowing what the answer would be even without him telling. “You called him?” He nodded and untangled her arms to hold her hands.

“Nara... I promised you that I will be there for you if you need me, didn't I?” He asked, caressing the back of her hands with his thumbs and she nodded. “Even if I had to call your ex..” She giggled at his mumble, making him smile. “I’m also sorry about what happened last week. I didn’t mean to accuse you of some stupid things. I was just upset that you’re opening up to someone new easily while it took us 6 months to have a full conversation and it took you 3 weeks to start a whole debate with him. To me, that’s unfair.” She giggled again at his venting and nodded. “Will you forgive me and be my friend again?” He pouted sadly at her.

“Lee Taeyong.. It doesn’t take a stupid argument to make you not my friend anymore.” She replied and cupped his face after letting go of his hands. “It’s going to be a whole lot of argument for that to happen. But I know that wouldn’t happen.” He nodded at her claim as he caressed her hands and smiled at her. “You’re forgiven, Bibi. Our friendship is worth more than a few misunderstandings. Let’s not let anything come between us again.” Nara’s forgiveness was a balm to Taeyong’s remorse of his action and was happy for it.

Then, the two smiled as their eyes locked in a moment of anticipation, the air thick with unspoken feelings. She remained to cup his face, her touch was tender and warm to him. As they slowly leaned in, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the soft sound from the movie and the beating of their hearts. The distance between them closed, and in that fleeting moment, everything else ceased to exist as their lips finally met. The kiss was a delicate dance of shared emotions, a silent exchange of affection. Their heart raced, echoing the rhythm of their connection. They pulled back, a shared sense of surprise flickering across their faces. Her cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and realization.

“That was unexpected...” Taeyong mumbled as they moved away from each other and stretched his head as she just nodded. “I’m sorry about that.. I didn’t know what came over me.” They exchanged a glance, and a moment of uncertainty lingered.

“It’s ok, Taeyong. It was an accident.” She mumbled nervously after staying silent for a few second.

In the hushed aftermath of their unexpected kiss, a palpable tension filled the air, leaving an uncomfortable silence between them. With a deep breath, he finally broke the quietude, which was confessing.

“I can’t deny it any longer – I have feelings for you, Yang Nara! I always did since the day we met. Every day, week, month for 6 years. I wanted to get rid of my feelings when your relationship went public, but I just couldn’t. I should have been happy for you, but I can’t accept the thought of you being in a relationship with another guy. Then, you’re suddenly became close with Changkyun-씨 and these whole ‘Papa' thing with the triplets. I get jealous of their interaction.” The weight of his admission hung in the air, awaiting her response, as they navigated the uncharted territory of their evolving connection. “You don’t have to give me an answer now. I just wanted to finally confess to you.” Nara just blinked as she was surprised to hear his confession and wanted to say something, but nothing came out.

“Taeyong... I... uh... I don’t know what to say actually.. I’m speechless.” Nara nervously replied as she fidgeted her fingers. “But... I’m sorry..” He was immediately heartbroken from hearing her apology as he looked down at the floor. She sensed his sadness and went to hold his hands.

“I said I’m sorry, not because I don’t like you. I said I’m sorry because I’m not ready to have a new relationship and you know it too. Also... I need some time to figure out my own feelings right now, because I’m confused about what I’m feeling now. I hope you’ll understand, Taeyong.” The leader stared at her, a bit disappointed, sad? In fact, he doesn’t know how to feel about it right now, but it felt nice to finally confess to her. Taeyong let out a light sigh and nodded. “Thank you for understanding, Taeyong.” She pulled him into a tight hug and he hummed as he hugged her tighter. “Please don’t make me talk to Ten for a while. I’m going to hate him for a week.”

The request made the leader to giggle as the two are known to be Tom and Jerry to the group and nodded, agreeing to it.
