Aratrika rushed to the bathroom and splashed her face with water to cool down her burning red cheeks.
She couldn't believe that she was talking to her soon to be husband. He was nothing like how everyone described him to be.
It's True that she didn't feel good with all the questions asked by him, but sensing his worries she had answered all his questions truthfully.
She has brothers too and they are also married so somewhat she could understand his feelings when he asked her those questions.
After that she walked out and had lunch with everyone which included her and his siblings in her room.
It was 5 in the afternoon when she bid goodbyes to everyone. She felt sad that they had to leave so early but she also knew that it would take time to reach there.
She didn't have her phone but she did note down everyone's numbers in her mother's phone.
Days had passed after their visit.
Aratrika's board exams were nearing as and she had gotten busy with her studies. But, she would take out time to speak to everyone including her MIL, and the Chauhan Siblings.
But, the disappointing thing was that Kanish never called, Aratrika always waited but the call never came.
She knew he had told her that he is a busy person but a text wouldn't take so much of his time, would it??
She didn't have his number and was shy to ask anyone else.
Aratrika wondered what she would do if he called because she was sure that she may not be able to speak because of all the nervousness she felt hearing his voice.
So, even thought wanting him to call she was grateful that he didn't called.
Understand the feeling??
Like how would she speak?? What if her mother picks up the phone instead?? What would happen then?? She would die out of embarrassment.
What if her mother mother asks whose phone it was?? Or she asks who she was texting with so much concentration and a red face.
She thought to forget all those things and shift her focus on her studies which would a lot more helpful for her.
It was one such day where she was talking to her brother-in-law Mayank , who was in return very eager to share his day activities with his Bhabhi.
He felt pleased, that he had someone who was a combination of sister, friend, guide and mischief partner.
"So, when are your board exams starting Ika??" He asked seated on his bed. It was 10 in the night.
"Next month, and I have so much to study." Aratrika whined as she looked at the books sprawled in front of her.
Mayank laughed at her condition, "I thought you wanted to be a teacher??"
"Of course I do. But like teaching more than studying. " she stated in a duh tone.
"Ika, your words make no sense." He deadpanned.
Aeatrika giggled softly, "I know, but it sounded better in my head." She said. "What is everyone else doing??" She asked playing with her pencil.
"Everyone has retired to their room after dinner." He answered knowing very well what she truly meant.
Aratrika huffed at her brother-in-law's antics, he knew what she meant but wanted her to voice it out.
"Bhai!!!!" She whined embarrassingly making him chuckle at his naive bhabhi who was even shy to even ask about her soon to be husband.
