[Author'z note: Tom is 9 in this cuz this is a flashback and stuff]

...

I just wanted to see him again

Tom approached his mother, he wanted to visit his brother today. His mother looked down at Tom, glaring at him while his father gave tom a gentle grin

"What is it now, Thomas." she said with a harsh tone

Tom hesitates for a moment before asking

"Can... uh... Can I visit Adam?"

Her expression darkens the moment he mentioned Adam, although his father doesn't seem to mind

"No-"

"Well of course you can, kiddo, I'll drop you off at her house in a few minutes ok?" Tom's dad cuts her off just when Tom's mom was about to say no

"...o-okay, dad." Tom starts heading to his room, his mother now seemingly pissed at his father for letting him be with Adam

"...What?"

"Are you serious? Your letting him be with Adam?!"

"Yeah, so what? You can't keep him from his sister y'know. And her name isn't Adam anymore, mind you."

"Yes it is, He's only going by another name because he thinks he's a girl."

"Because she is."

"...y'know what, your just wasting my time, this whole conversation is wasting my time, so if you excuse me... I have a job to go to."

"...whatever." Tom's dad doesn't stop her cuz he knows it's useless to argue with her about his eldest child's gender

...

Tom approached his brother's house after his dad drops him off to visit him, he knocked on the door and patiently waited for Adam to answer the door, but nobody answered the door.

Tom, without thinking opens the door. He searches the house for his brother, Tom walks upstairs and looks around for a little bit before hearing someone cry from seemingly the bedroom Tom recognizes that voice, although he might be wrong. He wasn't really sure himself.

So he decides to listen in through the door crack, and he hears a familiar voice... his brother's voice

"I...I'm so sorry Tom...I'm so sorry I haven't been there for you like I was before..."

...what? What's going on?

"I'm such a horrible person...I...I can't do this anymore"

Tom peeks through the crack and sees... a woman? That's...weird... why does this strange woman sound so much like Adam?

The woman shuts off a laptop and sets down for what looks like a game case, tom was trying to process what's happening right now, he didn't understand what was going on. He stood there watching for a few moments, lost in thought until...

The woman held a pistol and positioned it against her temple, she was shaking heavily as well. She sobbed quietly to herself, Tom didn't know what to do, he felt so confused and a little scared too. he tried to call out for the woman but he couldn't speak. and just as tom was about to fully open the door, she shot herself, Tom flinches letting out a yelp as well.

"GAH-" Tom flinched for a moment before he ran over to her, panicked and scared

"Hey, hey, are you ok? miss?" He gently shook her

"Miss??" The woman didn't respond

"....oh gosh..."

...

Tom spots a game case, he holds it up and sees that It was titled "Sonic the Hedgehog: Metallic Rampage", Tom didn't know why but for some reason he feels uneasy looking at the case. Tom suddenly hears a very faint voice trying to speak to him, seemingly pissed at him for something, He immediately threw It into the closet and ran out of the room.

A few hours later, the police were investigating Adam's house Tom taps on a police officer's shoulder

"Hm?" the officer looked down at Tom

"Is... Is Adam here? Is he somewhere inside?"

The officer looked like he wanted to tell him something but didn't know how to tell it to him, Although there was no need, Tom's mom grabs his arm

"Ah, I'm so sorry! My little one can be quite the handful, kids am I right? anyways I'll be sending my child back home now" She gave a warm smile to the officer before pulling Tom away

"C'mon Tom, were going home."

"b-but mom what about Adam-"

"I don't give a flying fuck about him, you hear me? Your better off without him anyways."

...Tom looked down on the floor as they both walked home

"...where's dad?"

"Your dad?...we'll...we'll talk about It when we get home." she said, seemingly frustrated just thinking about her 'husband'

"...ok then..."

...

the game case lies In the corner of the room, slightly damaged... the house felt so eerily silent.

the corpse of the woman rots as the police took It away

How could he just let her die like that?

How could he just stand there?

This...This is all his fault

She wouldn't have died if he done something about It

It's all his fault

...

It's all Tom's fault.

...

as the years go by, Tom hasn't been the same since the incident. He felt guilty for the woman's death and his brother's disappearance, the fact that his parents also divorced not too long after the incident doesn't make it any better. But at least he still had his best friend Kyle...and Allie, I guess.

Kyle texted Tom on Myspace

R4TDUDE95_: "hey you up to play sonic riders this weekend?"

xsilverchipx: "Can't, I still gotta finish homework"

R4TDUDE95_: "wait we had homework??"

xsilverchipx: "yeah, you did do it, right"

...

"kyle???"

R4TDUDE95: "I totally forgot about it DX"

xsilverchipx: "Damn"

R4TDUDE95_: "Yeah I think I'll probably do it now ;w;"

xsilverchipx: "lol, talk to you later then?"

R4TDUDE95_: "yeah XD"

Kyle closed his computer before starting to work on his homework, he wanted to get It done as fast as he could so he did and uhh yeah

After an hour of work, he finally finishes It and decides to go watch some sonic meme complications

...

It's all his fault
