A Friendship Born

A young boy, with eyes so bright,

Steps out into the world with delight,

Hesitation in his heart, yet a smile on his face,

As he sets off to find his special place.

The young boy skips along the path,

Feeling the warmth of the sun on his back,

He feels a sense of wonder and glee,

As he explores the world so free.

He sees a butterfly flutter by,

And watches it soar into the sky,

He wonders where it's going to go,

And wishes he could follow.

He hears the sound of a babbling brook,

And stops to take a closer look,

He sees the fish swimming in the stream,

And the sunlight dancing on the water's gleam.

He feels the grass tickling his toes,

And the wind blowing on his nose,

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath,

Feeling so alive and free from death

As he wanders through the park, so green and fair,

Watching children play without a care,

He longs to join in, to make a friend,

To find someone to talk with, to laugh until the end.

And then, as if by magic, he sees,

A boy his age, with hair like a breeze,

A smile as warm as a summer's day,

A friend he hopes, to find his way.

They talk and laugh, and run and play,

Sharing secrets, games, and dreams all day,

As if they've known each other forever,

Their friendship strong, they'll leave each other never.

They'll explore the world, hand in hand,

Grasping the beauty of the land,

Together they'll face each challenge anew,

A true friendship, strong and true.

As the sun sets, they'll say goodbye,

Promising to see each other again, with a sigh,

The young boy's heart filled with joy,

A new friend, his life to enjoy.

The young boy's heart is glad and coy,

As he finds a new friend, a true boy,

He knows that he'll always have a pal,

To help him up when he might fall.
