In the small town of Midwold located in Pennsylvania there was an old friend group, not exactly friends anymore. Something horrible had happened to one in the group, Annabeth Griffin.
The friends were having one last sleep over in honor of the last day of summer, and Annabeth's birthday. Then they woke up to their friend being gone. The police looked for Annabeth but were never able to find anything.
So, the friends stopped talking. They went their separate ways, and ignored each other. They all still felt terrible about Annabeth, but she was the one who brought them all together. They were nothing without her.
The police stopped looking for Annabeth Griffin after a year, she was presumed dead. A funeral was hold even though there wasn't a body found, the Griffin family needed closure. They needed to accept that their daughter was most likely dead.
It brought all of them back. Though that wasn't what brought them back together, what brought them back was a text from an unknown number. A text that was threatening them all.
