Physiology: Dalamadur is a massive snake-like dragon similar in appearance to the snake wyvern Najarala. He has a snake-like face, with bright red eyes, numerous fangs, and many hook like spines along his body which start out clustered around his body and neck, then becoming more spread out along his long body, with a small cluster near the tip of his tail, which is tipped with a pair of red barbs that he can rattle in a manner similar to rattlesnakes. He has a pair of large, clawed forearms, but the only remnant of hindlimbs he has are small spurs, similar to boas, pythons, and anacondas. His chest has glowing veins, which huff steam when enraged. When angered enough, his face and tail will glow red.

Behavior: Dalamadur is highly aggressive and territorial, and he will violently attack anything in his domain. Since he lives high in the heavenly mountain peaks that surround Cathar Village, the hook spines will allow him to navigate the treacherous terrain and burrow in the earth. In the Heaven's Mount, the rocks falling from the sky is due to the fact that the Speartip Craig is above the area and the rocks are the result of the snake burrowing.

Abilities: Dalamaur's barbed body and clawed hands allow him to tunnel through stone and cling to terrain with ease. His immense size lends him nearly unmatched physicality, to the point where he burrowing can cause massive tremors and his attacks can collapse rock formations. His forked tongue has a paralytic agent that can immobilize prey, and he can breath and unknown substance that burns like fire. He also has the ability to summon meteor-like projectiles from the sky, although the basis of this ability is unknown.

Why he is my favorite?
-he is the largest and longest elder dragon in the whole series.
-if he was in Sunbreak, he would personify Python from Greek mythology.
--in MH4U, the battle between the hubter and Dalamadur is based on the story of Apollo, son of Zeus and Leto, and the twin brother of Artemis, going against Python, a massive 3000 ft long serpent summoned by Hera out of jealousy.
-the Rotten Vale is made out of the carcass of a large Dalamadur specimen.
