You angled your head around the cardboard boxes in your hands to see who'd spoken.
"I'm good, I appreciate it!" You answered, finding a teenager propping open the front door of the manor you now called home.
Edelweiss Manor was an impressively foreboding building, the exterior consisting of stone and wood. Cathedral-style towers with black spires pierced the sky and stone chimneys stood proud and robust. The large, arched windows were mostly covered in dark curtains. A scant few provided a glance to the mysteries lying in wait, with fabric gathered to the side and candles lit. Dark, looming trees hid the estate from prying eyes, along with numerous protection wards.
