As we sat on Jarrod's bed watching a movie I couldn't help but notice how close his body was to my own. The space between us felt heavy, full of unspoken desire. His leg rests a ruler's length from my own and I want nothing more than to run my hands along his thigh. To feel his warmth under my fingertips. I clench my left hand which rests between us, I mustn't let my mind wander right now. I don't want Jarrod to notice, I'm supposed to be focusing on the movie, not on him. As if on cue he turns his head towards me, lightly places his right hand over mine, and speaks in a soft tone "Is everything okay?" I look into his eyes for a few moments and smile
"Yes, just thinking. That's all". His head tilts quizzically, like a puppy struggling to understand the word of man.
"What troubles your thoughts?" he asks. I hesitate to reply, shall I speak the truth? I gaze into his eyes for another few seconds contemplating whether or not to do so. I whisper in a tone that is barely audible to myself, a singular word.
