after their impromptu meeting, cagalli requested to serve at GEHIRN, he request was granted by shinji, and the two began to spend a lot of time working together, in doing so she learned much about the man who was to become her husband, and she had to admit, she could be happy with him, despite the massive workload, he still made time for her, what she didn't at all expect was the complete take over of the earth alliance, which she had done entirely on accident

do to the increase in ORBs population, and more importantly the increase in military scale, thanks to his project JORMANGUND, which was the next evolution of the dummy system, the DEC system, the dummy esper control system, the nations of earth bowed down to their new ORB overlords, the point the only one left was the atlantic federation which was conquered in counterattack to the invasion of NERV, which was really the final nail in the coffin for ORB to absorb the entire earth alliance

it shocked the entire ORB hierarchy that one boy had managed to conquer an entire nation, which led to him making ORB the earth superpower, BY COMPLETE ACCIDENT

not that they weren't grateful because they were, when cagalli and shinji turned sixteen they were officially married, the archangel, and kira yamato tried to intervene, they failed miserably, shinji and cagalli's took out kira's freedom, it almost the blink of an eye capturing the boy in the process

and cagalli for once, could see all the wrong the archangel was doing, especially in trying to kidnap her during her wedding, no previous contact asking if that was what she actually wanted no nothing

"what shall i do with him love" i asked

"would you allow me to deal with this" cagalli asked

"of course" i said, she smiled and kissed her husband, before leaving to meet kira in his cell

"well done, kira, you almost ruined what could be the best thing to ever happened to me, by the way, the ceremony still went on, and i am now married" cagalli told the boy

"but is that what you want" kira asked

"YES, weren't you listening, i said it was the best thing that ever happened to me, and you almost ruined it, god do i love that man, he's smart, he's strong, and yet he's kind, he's caring, he's everything you are but also so much more, he's fragile. he hates war, yet chooses to fight anyway so others don't have to, he can be an idiot at times, and a genius at others, he is amazing, and you would have known that had you even tried to contact me before pulling this stunt of yours" cagalli said scathingly, kira looked down in shame

"i thought i was rescuing you" he said

"you weren't now, i have convinced my husband to let me deal with you, which is fortunate for you, i have asked the archangel to come collect you, i still trust you, do not break that trust yamato, are we clear" cagalli asked

"crystal" kira said, she nodded, and got up to leave, noticing kira wasn't following she turned

"are you coming, or would you prefer to be left in this cell" i asked, he got up, and followed her, out of the cell where a white haired girl was waiting, as they left the girl followed close behind them

"welcome to GEHIRN" i said

"GEHIRN" kira asked

"primary headquarters to the vanguard, and my and my husbands home, at least for now, my father has set us up with a nice manor, but you have made him paranoid, so it will take convincing for him to move out of here, and into the manor" cagalli said annoyed

"sorry cagalli" kira said, cagalli shook her head

"lady cagalli, the viceroy said not to be disturbed" a guard that stood in the elevator said

"really, even from me" cagalli asked, the guard hesitated, shinji had given express orders that cagalli was always allowed into his office, in the end he did the smart thing, he got out of cagalli's way, who entered the elevator, followed by kira and the white-haired girl

the elevator soon opened once more, and she could see shinji was working on another of his projects, which he quickly closed the display for

"geez, woman warn me next time" i said, she chuckled

"sorry love, anyway meet kira yamato, meet my husband, shinji ikari, commander of NERV, and viceroy of the vanguard" cagalli said

"NERV" kira asked

"an organization with many MANY skeletons in it's closet, if you catch my meaning, i inherited it from my less then pleasant father, and have been trying to clean out those skeletons for some time, if you find anything, it is likely from my father's time, and i'd be grateful if you brought it to my attention" i said, kira nodded

"your gonna let him snoop around" cagalli asked

"let him, oh no, he's likely to do it anyway, so i figure i should give a heads up, the boy is too nosy for his own good" i said

"true" cagalli said, with a giggle causing kira to flush in embarrassment

"nice to meet ya, kira, cagalli has said many good things about you, and honestly i would have likely done the same thing you did, if i were in your shoes, so water under the bridge" i said

"thanks" kira said, i shrugged

"i've been there done that, if you find any files on an EVA unit-01, please keep them to yourself, and just know i was manipulated to do most of the crap i did in that thing, i was not nearly as free spirited at the time, and my father was a real douchebag" i said

"noted" kira said, i smiled

"then you and i will get along swimmingly" i said, before looking towards cagalli

"the dominion is coming in to dock here at yalafath island, i have checked over their crew roster, and it seems that they have relations with the archangel crew, so if you could get them here semi quickly i hope to have a pleasant reunion between the two" i said, cagalli nodded

"captain ramius is already keen on getting here quickly to get kira back, so i am sure they will meet" cagalli said, i nodded

"in the meantime, miss allster is aboard the dominion, i can have someone escort you to her" i said

"i'd like that thank you" kira said, i nodded

"my pleasure, good day Mr. yamato" i said as i gestured for him to enter the elevator, before informing the guards at it's entrance to have him escorted to the dominion

"now then" i said pulling back up the display on project vector

"how are they coming" cagalli asked

"in two weeks the first three teams will be launches" i said, cagalli nodded

"good, that's three complete squadrons, i assume two of them will be placed with our valkyries" cagalli asked

"i didn't originally intend to but i can" i said

"i think it'd be for the best" cagalli said, i nodded, and sent out orders to that effect
