Sylvia's POV
I sank into bed, my body grateful for the relief. But peace was far from my grasp.
In my dream, I was wandering through the woods, RUNNING?! Wait what am I running from?! And then, like he always did—without warning—Damon appeared.
"You think you can run from me?" He asked amused as he circled me slowly, predator-like. "So naïve, sweetheart."
I backed away, but it was useless. "No, let me go." My breath hitched when his cold fingers brushed against my neck, trailing a path down my throat
"Stay away from me," I whispered, my lips trembling.
"Oh, Sylvia," his lips grazed my ear. "You know you don't really want that." I could feel his body pressing against mine, his hand sliding around my waist, pulling me even closer.
Before I could say anything, his lips brushed against my neck, soft at first, almost teasing. "Damon..." I gasped, trying to push him away. "You taste just as sweet as I imagined," he growled.
And then—he bit down.
Hard.
Pain shot through me, his fangs sinking deep into my neck.
"----" I tried to scream, but no sound came out. My vision blurred.
And then—I woke up.
Gasping for air, I shot up in bed, my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst from my chest. Cold sweat drenched my skin, my hands trembling as I reached up to touch my neck.
Nothing. No bite marks. No blood. But the sensation lingered—his touch, his breath, his teeth. It was all so vivid, so real.
Bastard won't even let me sleep in peace!!
I lay back against the pillows, staring at the ceiling, trying to shake off the dream.
What the hell was he doing to me? And worse—why did part of me want more?
Later Next Morning~~
"I don't even know why I'm doing this." I sighed, standing by the cheerleaders' sidelines, arms crossed and frowning at the useless notepad in my hands.
"That's 'cause it's mandatory for the seniors to be in a club," Bonnie replied, tying her shoelaces.
I groaned, dramatically holding my head. "But why cheerleading? I'm not even doing anything! What's the point of a manager? This is pointless!" I exclaimed, tossing the notepad on the grass.
"That's because you refused to wear the uniform," Bonnie quipped. "Whatever." I groaned again, reluctantly picking up the notepad.
"Sylvie, a bit of help here?" Layla called out, struggling to stretch her leg.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming," I replied, heading over to help her. Just then, Elena walked in, and Bonnie practically lit up. "Oh my God! You're here!"
"Yep. I can't be sad girl forever," Elena said, casually stretching. "The only way to get things back to normal is to do things that were normal. Oh, and you're coming to dinner tonight," she added.
"Tonight's no good," She was clearly still weirded out by the whole Stefan-is-death vibe she picked up when she shook his hand.
Honestly, I didn't blame her. Elena frowned. "Oh, come on, Bonnie! You have to be there! It'll be fun! Trust me."
I snorted. "Fun? You're trying to force your BFF to have dinner with the guy she thinks is bad news. What could go wrong?"
Bonnie shot me a look. "Have you seen Caroline? I texted her like a hundred times."
