Soldier: - They are attacking us from the left flank! - A messenger shouted as soon as he arrived at the command center of the Kreig guard corps.

Tairon: - That's... unexpected. Why didn't the scouts inform us? -

Soldier: - We don't know, colonel. We have lost all contact with them. -

Tairon: - I understand. How many orks are we talking about? -

Soldier: - Just about a thousand. But general, they are not orks. Or at least not like those on the main front. They are smaller, and carry with them the armor and weapons of the Imperial Guard. -

This undoubtedly left Colonel Tairon stunned, something that was impossible to see behind his assisted breathing mask, but his sudden silence worried everyone present.

The colonel took a few seconds to think about it. He put his hand to his chin and looked out at the crimson skies stained by explosions and the smoke of the battlefield stretching across the horizon.

Tairon: - They must be that mysterious force that caused the fall of the first front... Very good. Designate all the soldiers in the rear and half of the right front to reinforce the left front. They must stop them at any cost. -

Soldier: - Wouldn't that leave us exposed to attacks from other sides? -

Tairon: - Our priority is to stop them before they reach the artillery. The war in the trenches will be hard and we will need all the troops to stop them... At this point... We cannot defend ourselves from the enemies who had not yet taken the battlefield... We came here to die... Soldiers . For the glory and redemption of Krieg. -

All present: - "In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, redemption." -

Tairon: - Launch the Riders of Death! -

Suddenly, the Orks on the main front were stunned as the explosions caused by artillery and gunfire from the other side of the front stopped. That didn't make any sense to them, who stuck their heads out to see the reason for such sudden calm.

Kurnet: - Ha. Those idiots are out of ammo! Victory is ours! -

Murray: - I wouldn't be too sure... Wait... Do you hear that? -

Suddenly, the earth began to rumble. It was like feeling an earthquake under your feet, while a strange noise filled the battlefield. Whatever it was, it seemed to come from the side of Krieg's bodies, and the sight soon revealed those who had lost the will to cling to life and gave their souls for the empire and the Emperor.

The Death Riders of the Korps of Kriegs, one of the most insane units in the entire Astra Militarum had arrived on the battlefield. Riders lacking fear and a sense of self-preservation rode on majestic steeds, carrying nothing more than their spears and the iron will mowed down by their faith in the Emperor.

Thousands of these men and women without fear of death emerged from the enemy ranks, forming an enormous gray tide that charged head-on against the greenskins, while their voices repeated the hymn of their regiment. "In life, war. In death, peace. In life, shame. In death, redemption."

The orks stationed in the front row barely had time to aim their weapons and fire, taking down barely a hundred horsemen of the thousands who penetrated their formation thanks to their ridiculous speed. Their spears slaughtered every greenskin in their path in a desperate and impossible attempt to stop the green tide.

Now, Krieg soldiers and greenskins deployed in a pitched battle on land. The firearms took a backseat, while the swords and slicers collided metal with metal, creating a loud explosion throughout the surroundings. If the goal was to stop the orks in their tracks, they had succeeded perfectly.
