I sit there alone,
Engaged with the movement on the tv.
Tv has always been a big part of me.
I have loved the characters like they're real.
Sometimes I forget that they're not.
I wish they were.
They would understand me like I understand them.

I am still sat there, listening.
Laughing when they do,
Smiling when they do,
Crying when they do.
I feel what they feel.
Although I may be told its unhealthy,
It helps me.

I am who I am because of television,
Television raised me when no one else would.
When they couldn't be there for me television could.
When they weren't proud of me, I didn't care.
I could just go watch television.
Television understood me and I understood it.

"Maddie" someone called for me.
I don't like to be interrupted when I'm watching television.
If they can't be there for me when television can, why interrupt me?
Why ask me how my day was?
Why try to start a conversation with me?
Why ask me what's going on with my life?
Why try and get to truly know me because at the end of the day,
You didn't want to know me.
I was a burden.
To you and to everyone.
So don't bother.

Television gave me something to do.
Television gave me a personality.
Television gave me hope.

Authors note: I'm so sorry for not writing in ages I got really busy with school. Also if anyone I don't speak to in school reads this can you let me know because I'm not sure whether or not to keep going :(
