My baby's heartbeat filled the doctor's room and I instantly fell in love, it don't even feel like an accident
"When do you think my stomach will start to get bigger?" I asked the ultrasound tech
"Usually around the thirteenth week, but there's mommies who didn't show at all during their pregnancy, so don't be worried if you don't start to show by then." She sent a smile my way
"Okay." I nodded, smiling back
I looked at Maceon who was looking at the ultrasound machine, I smiled at how interested he look
The ultrasound tech asked me if I wanted my pictures and I said yes, she wiped my stomach clean and I pulled down my hoodie
"We real life got a jit on the way." He shook his head as she walked out of the room
"It's nothing we can't handle, we're good people." I nodded
"Hell yeah." He put his hands on my stomach
"You still flat as hell, already knowing you gon' be mad when it start growing." He stated and I shrugged
"My mom was glowing and her hips spread and her ass grew... if I'm anything like that, I won't be mad." I shrugged, thinking back to my mom's pregnancy with Amina.
"Her nose did expand with Melo though." I added
"Because she was having a boy, I know how that shit go." He said as I sat up
She brung us back the ultrasound pictures and I pocketed them in my purse
"Let me have 'em." He requested as we walked out of the doctor's office
"I'll give them to you later."
He opened the passenger seat door for me and I hopped in before he closed the door and got in
"We haven't even been together a year and we finna have a baby... my mom gon' be so disappointed." I said when realization hit
"You having seconds guesses assum? And you think I give a fuck about who gonna be disappointed." He said, driving off. I jerked my head back at what he said
"After you just said that, I might be having second guesses." I mugged him
"Ight, stop talking." He kept his eyes on the road
"No, I'm not finna stop talking. You being disrespectful for no reason."
"I already said I don't give a fuck, so when you gon' shut the fuck up? You acting like you don't wanna keep the baby... say that shit then." He said
"Okay, you just pissed me off. I never said I didn't want to have the baby, I was making a fucking observation, but you getting disrespectful as fuck." I snapped
"Telling me to shut the fuck up? No, Maceon. You shut the fuck up because you the only one talking sideways and saying anything."
"You just said you might be having second guesses. Onyx, I ain't finna argue with you." He spoke
