Chapter 1: The Elementals Pt. 1

  Lilith-
  Me and my crew were at an archeological site in Cairo, Egypt. We were digging for research purposes when we unburied an artifact. "What is that?" Jax, my husband asked.
  "I don't know." I said.
  "Let's take it to a curator." Jax said, and I nodded.
  We headed back to the main RV and tents and went to the curator who was with us: Dr. Nyssa Wilson. We held hands as we walked to Nyssa. "Doctor, we found something...peculiar." I said.
  "Let's see shall we?" Nyssa asked.
  I handed Nyssa the band and she looked at it. "Where did you find this?" Nyssa asked.
  "Over at the dig site." Jax said.
  "This, is an ancient artifact from the time of the Djinn. It's called the Band of Aurora, the Djiin of Chaos, she was said to have Dark Elemental Control which ensued from chaos itself. She wreaked havoc on the world until an avatar of balance sealed her away and buried her bands so no one could find them ever again." Nyssa said.
  "This is amazing! Jax, we found an artifact! We need to get it to a museum!" I exclaimed, jumping into him and kissing his lips.
  He smiled and kissed my lips. "Do you know any museums where we can donate it?" Jax asked, his arm around me.
  "Well, the Smithsonian is always looking to...expand their Arabic collection, so...perhaps there." Nyssa said, handing me the band.
  I smiled, and wrapped it in a cloth before we went to our tent for bed since it was late. "Jax! We actually found something!" I exclaimed.
  "I know! I know! Seth, Elarza, and Talia will be so happy to hear that their parents are coming home and they don't have to stay with Aunt Rei and Uncle Enji anymore." Jax said, and I laughed.
  "What's a Djinn?" I asked.
  "Why didn't you ask Dr. Wilson? What makes you think I know babe?" Jax asked.
  "Well, I just know you're into mythology and stuff." I said, and Jax chuckled.
  "There are different interpretations of Djinn. The most common one, is ancient beings who granted you 3 wishes before leaving but there was always specifics and you had to wish very specifically." Jax said, taking off his shirt and pants.
  "Like Genie in Aladdin?" I asked, changing into my pajamas.
  "Yep." Jax said, lying in the bed.
  "Well what are other ones?" I asked, and I walked to the bed and laid beside him, lying my head on his chest as he put his muscular arm around me.
  "In Islam, the Djinn are invisible spirits mentioned in the Qur'an that take the form of animals or people by possessing them. They're believed to be good or evil, like humans and possess free will, they are highly intelligent." Jax explained, rubbing my shoulder.
  "So, what do you know about Aurora, the Djinn of Chaos?" I asked.
  "Why are you so invested in this?" Jax asked, amused and endeared.
  "I can't explain it, I just feel close to the band is all." I said.
  "Alright, I'll tell you what I know. Aurora is a human form Djinn that led a group of other human form Djinn who believed humans were beneath them. The myth was that she went to an Egyptian crafter and had him craft two bands she could wear on her forearms. The crafter did so, not realizing her purpose. Aurora wanted a way to channel and amplify her already great Chaos Manipulation to bring about a calamity so vast and powerful that humans would have to kneel before the Djinn. The Egyptian Goddess Ma'at found out that Aurora was indeed a Djinn and that she was indeed wanting to bring calamity. So, the Egyptian Goddess created an avatar imbued with the Goddess's power to restore the balance and seal the Djinn. This avatar was simply named Nadidah. Aurora was unstoppable with those bands, and Nadidah couldn't win with just balance on her side. So, after losing and getting severely injured several times, Nadidah turned to learning magic which was frowned upon by the Egyptian Goddess. So, Ma'at stripped Nadidah of her powers and turned her into a normal human, and went to make another avatar. Nadidah, despite all of this traveled to Athens, Greece where she began to learn of magic and started to learn and teach herself. It took her 18 years to master, but she mastered it. She began to heal people with her magic, helping people in need. All while Aurora had began the calamity. Every God and Goddess of all cultures and religions got together in one place and banded together against the ever growing Djinn empire. They called it the Chaos War, and the Djinn were winning. Eventually, the war spread across the world, but Greece was the last place to go for. The Djinn went there, expecting an easy win with the Greek Gods being imprisoned, but instead they got the Athens War. One woman versus millions of Djinn. The one woman was simply referred to as the Hooded Angel, but she was actually..." Jax began.
  "Nadidah." I said.
  Jax nodded. "Except she now went by a different name: Seraphina, Queen of the Angels. Nadidah, used her elemental magic abilities to steal the two bands and seal the entire Djinn army for all eternity, never awakening again. The myth goes that Seraphina, a.k.a, Nadidah buried the bands on opposite ends of the Earth, but if anyone ever found the two bands...they would gain the power of Aurora. Even with one band, someone could have the power of Aurora and use it to destroy whole realities and rule over the multiverse. The final myth was that Seraphina lived out the rest of her days in peace, protecting the world behind the scenes and eventually dying at the age of 112,995 years old thanks to her magic and her origin as a Goddess's avatar. They say, when she fell in love and got married, that was the birth of Quirks as they had a child, a son and he was born with the ability to take other people's Quirks. They called him Zero the Destroyer, as he used his power to take all he could until he was inevitably defeated by their daughter Tempest who saved the world and so on. You can trace Seraphina's roots all the way up my family tree. Seth, Elarza, Talia, and I we all have Seraphina's blood in us hence why..." Jax began.
  "Seth has Elemental Enchantment, Elarza has Elemental Destruction, Talia has Elemental Manipulation, and you have Elemental Control. Jax...you could have any woman in the world. Why did you choose me? A Quirkless, worthless, poor excuse for a woman." I asked.
  "Lilith, I love you and only you. I don't care that you're Quirkless, and you definitely are not worthless. You are the best thing that ever happened to me and I wouldn't trade you or our kids for the world." Jax said, and we kissed on the lips.
  I curled into him and we both fell asleep.
