Divide and conquer. That was the only way to deal with a full moon. Hen and Chim were set out on their own tasks while me and Buck stuck with ours, this being his first shift back since the bread incident. Things were carnage to say the least. Many didn't believe in the hoax of the full moon, but I fully believed in it, always have, always will. We had already dealt with a little girl stuck in a claw machine, a group of pregnant women ready to give birth, one of the baby girls was named after me, and it was hilarious to see Buck panic as he delivered his first baby.

"Connor, 911 is here. Open the door now" the boyfriend/husband spoke to his partner through the door. "Step aside sir. Connor? Los Angeles Fire Department. We can't help you if you don't open the door. Connor, I don't want to have to break this door down" Bobby tried one last time and the lock finally clicked, me, Buck and Bobby entering the room. I set down the med kit as Bobby asked the relevant questions.
"Buck, let's save the most interesting conversation of all time later, yeah?" I interject with a soft chuckle, watching what Bobby was doing so I could make a mental note of it. Domestics continued between the couple until Connor began to experience excruciating pain. "Okay, we need to get him in the ambulance now" Bobby spoke, looking between me and Buck. I nod and headed down to the ambulance to make sure it was prepared enough for transport. Once he was brought down to the ambulance, I laid him down and began preparing the IV, getting it attached and working before we set off, lights and sirens on.
"Oh god. Make it stop. Drive faster. I feel like I'm gonna explode all over the place" Connor pleaded as he squirmed, gripping onto his partner's hand like his life depended on it. "Connor, you're doing great. We're almost to the hospital. They're gonna do a scan, figure out exactly what's going on" I reassured him and he actually seemed to calm down for a moment. "There's something under my leg" he freaked out. "It's okay, it's just the IV tube, it's under your leg" I reassured him again but he continued to freak out. "No, no, no, it's moving. There's something moving under my leg" he cried and we turned him over, the three of us recoiling as we saw the thin, white worm moving around, clearing coming from his rectum.
I sustained a gag as I looked away, that image now permanently ingrained in my brain. "What the hell is that?" his partner questioned in a panicked and grossed out tone. "That's a tapeworm" Buck confirmed as he looked at it closer. "Wanna look Samson?" Buck teased and I glared at him. "I will chop your dick off" I snarl before catching sight of the worm again and gagging, turning away as Bobby placed his hand on my back. "Bucket's in the corner" he groaned, also displeased with this situation.
After back and forth panic, Connor insists on pulling it out now, not wanting to be put on any drugs while at the hospital due to being a fitness fanatic. "It's all you Buck" Bobby says, rubbing my back. "Oh come on. Really? So you have no problem delivering a baby -multiple babies- but this creeps you out?" I can practically hear the smirk on his face. "Seniority has it's advantages" Bobby rebuts. "Sam?" Buck questions and I just flip him off, muttering an apology to Connor and his partner for my unprofessionalism.
I imagine Buck started working on pulling out the tapeworm as I heard shuffling and Bobby grimace. "What are you waiting for? Get it out" Bobby teases Buck. "I gotta be careful, I don't want to break it. If it does, it'll crawl back inside and regenerate" Buck speaks in a nonchalant way and that was the straw that broke the camel's back. Just the thought of that made me empty my stomach contents into the waste bucket, Bobby handing me a bottle of water from the cupboard which I happily drank before spitting it out again. "Did you know these things can live inside you for like, 20 years?" Buck continued and I gagged again. "Evan Buckley, I will kill your first child" I growl as he snickers.
"I mean, this all makes sense. All the sushi you guys eat. It's like playing Russian Roulette with parasites. And with the moon- parasitic breeding cycles rise and fall with the full moon" Buck talked nonstop. "I'd rather play actual Russian Roulette right now" I mutter, spitting out more water. "Damn, this thing is probably about 6 or 7 feet" Buck comments. "Oh my god, stop" I gag again, Bobby rubbing my back.
"You been worn down lately? This thing has been steeling all your nutrients" Buck continues. "Ok, 3, 2, 1. There we go" Buck finishes as a pop sounds out and chills literally run up my spine as I swish water around in my mouth. "Congratulations Connor. It's a boy" Buck jokes and I shake my head as I hear the bag zip shut. "Wanna see it Sammy?" Buck teases and I reply with another gag, nausea literally taking over my body.

After delivering Connor to the hospital, we headed back to the station where Buck continued to tease me and I rode in the back of the ambulance, bucket on standby as I still felt horrible. We got out and I immediately rushed to my locker before rushing upstairs to get a bottle of cold water, past a confused Hen and Chimney and I heard Buck laugh as I spit the water out into the sink, coughing slightly as the foul taste of vomit still lingered in my mouth. "I took a picture of it, wanna see?" Buck taunts me as he bounds up the stairs, Hen and Chim still very confused.
Buck forces the phone in front of my face and I gag again, leaning over the sink just in case. "What is going on?" Hen comes to my side and rubs my back, concerned. "The call, the guy had a tapeworm in his ass, must've been 7-8 feet long and Sam didn't like it. She threatened to cut my dick off and kill my first born child" Buck teases and I shuddered just remembering it. "Jesus, I am happy I didn't go on that one" Chim comments and I glare at him whilst simultaneously flipping off Buck.
"You look like shit" Chim jokes and I smile sarcastically. "What's your problem with them?" Buck asks, genuinely curious. "I'm not looking at you till you give Hen your phone" I growl and he hands his phone over. "They freak me out, I don't know why" I shake my head, taking another mouthful of water followed by a Tylenol that I had grabbed out of my locker.
"That's it?" Buck laughs and I glare at him. "Evan Buckley, I swear on my wife, I will kill you in your sleep, bring you back and then kill you again if you make one more joke about this" I snarl and it sinks in that I'm being completely serious. "I'll let it go. For now" he nods with a smirk at the end. "No, no, no. Forever" I snap and he nods, gulping as he sees the look on my face.
Author's Note:
Hey! Sorry for the short chapter! The way I write this on my laptop, I don't label the start and end of chapters and they look longer on there than on here so apologies!
I think the chapters start getting longer from here, if not, I might combine some episodes together or stop labelling the episode number all together.
I read a lot of 911 fanfics on here and the episodes are longer than mine because the formatting is different (the sentences and paragraphs) and they are usually a Buck or Eddie fanfic which I'm obviously not doing.
