Living and surviving were two very diffrent things in Panem. Amira knew this very well. As a young girl, she knew she had a talent. A wonderful talent she was blessed with. Her skill to dance. Dancing helped her survive in district 12, her home. Everyone knew she was destined for great things once they saw her glide around the streets a cup in hand to collect any money people could spare.
But talent always seems to snake its way into the Capitol one way or another. Scouts looking for young impressionable talent coming to district 12 with little hopes found a diamond in the rough, a poor girl destained for the spotlight. Amira Killian.
