Waking up, the one thing Brooklyn Bennet hated. If she had the choice to stay in bed all day with her bestfriend she would take it in a heartbeat but unfortunately the gods weren't as merciful today as it happen to be the first day of school so with a loud heavy annoyed groan Brooklyn slams her hand down on her ever blaring alarm at the same time her Grams yells
"Girl wake up and shut that damned alarm off" now Sheila Bennet, Brooklyns grandmother was not a lady you want to go against so with a sigh and a low groan Brooklyn roll off her bed and walked into her closet having taken a shower the night before
With a groan as she stretched Brooklyn searched her closet for an outfit, spending a couple minutes looking through her closet she decided on embracing her inner grunge with a burgundy tank top, mesh ripped leggings with black shorts and her best friend's flannel over it with a couple necklaces
Being satisfied with her look Brooklyn put her hair in two sleek and neat Dutch braids, after she put on a tiny bit of lip gloss before smiling at her reflection
Grabbing her phone off the charger and book bag she heads down stairs "Morning Grams" She beams kissing her grandmothers cheek before wiping the lip gloss off of her skin "Mhm" Sheila hums and looks at her granddaughters outfit "At least your butts not hanging out" Shelia mutters kissing Brooklyn's forehead
"Morning sweetheart" She replies handing Brooklyn her morning cup of hot chocolate (cause Brooklyn doesn't like hot coffee and is way to lazy to make iced coffee) and her plate of bacon and French toast "Oh yay thank you" Brooklyn states excitedly before she immediately digs in, French toast and bacon was probably her favorite breakfast combo and rarely had it so she was extremely happy her grandmother had made it today
"This is for Theodore and Jeremy" Sheila states handing her a two containers with French toast and bacon in it "It's Theo Grams" Her granddaughter corrects drinking some of her hot chocolate "He says Theodore makes him sound like an old man" She laughs, Sheila shakes her head amused with a smile on her face but nods "Where's yours sister" Sheila asks drinking some of her coffee
"Don't know probably killing her hair" Brooklyn states shaking her head, she never understood why Bonnie wanted to consistently straighten her hair instead of wearing it naturally like she did, but then again Bonnie has always tried to fit in with the towns people who were predominantly white and even though Bonnie doesn't say it she doesn't like being one of the few black people in a mostly white town and does everything in her power to fit in
