If there was one holy thing about Artemisia, it was her anger. It wasn't every day that she got angry but god rest the soul of the person who was stupid enough to call it upon themselves. It took quite a bit to get Artemisia mad. Sure, you could annoy her or frustrate her, but her getting genuinely angry wasn't something easy to achieve... Unless you already knew how to bring on that anger.

Somehow, Elias knew exactly how to do this. He said and did the exact things that would make Artemisia rageful. Artemisia stared down at him with fury in her eyes, "I'm not a goddess!" She was no longer hitting him with Nami's staff. She still held it tightly in case he was to try something. Everyone else was frozen as they watched the scene. "I'm not. My mother wasn't. We are people. Regular people," Elias looked like he wanted to speak up. Artemisia wasn't going to give him the chance. "We have no powers. We have no divine birthright. We are not the people you should look to for guidance from the gods."

"But the storm-"

"Is a regular, old storm," Artemisia quickly shut down his rebuttal. Elias didn't look convinced. Still, she continued, "When I was avoiding Leandra, I stumbled upon your library. I found a book about the island's history and found some information about the storm," Artemisia could feel herself getting more and more upset as she explained. Her eyes were starting to sting. She tried her best to keep the angry tears away. "The gods didn't cause the storm. The storm happens because that's just how it is. It's not because the gods are mad at you. It is nature," Elias was slowly shaking his head. Artemisia sucked in a breath, "Let that sink in for a moment. Let it bury itself inside that thick head of yours, Elias."

"It's not-"

"Shut up!" Artemisia shouted. She could feel her grip tightening even more on Nami's staff. She took a deep breath and handed the weapon to its rightful owner. She didn't want to break it because she was mad. Artemisia made sure to show all her emotions through her eyes. That's what Elias was focusing on the most and she didn't want him to try to find something that wasn't there. She wanted to show him exactly how she felt. She bent down in front of him to make it easier. "You ordered the death of multiple children. You tried to kill my mother when she refused to participate in your barbaric rituals. You force your problems onto girls who can't do anything to help you. All of this was done because of a storm. Because of nature."
