while reaching for a remote with a stick
"Ugh, changing the channel is like a workout. Can't someone invent a remote-fetching robot?"
MY phone rings, and ME contemplate answering.
looking at the ringing phone
"Eh, voicemail was invented for a reason."
Cuts to me.. trying to cook instant noodles, but instead of boiling water, I puts the pot in the microwave.
"Who has time to wait for water to boil anyway?"
Later, I attempt to clean the house using a vacuum, but instead, I attache a broom to a Roomba
In satisfaction
"Efficiency level: Expert".
My friend, MAYA enters the chaotic scene.
MAYA
(shaking her head)
"Yahh, how do you live like this?"
(grinning)
"Embracing the chaos, my friend. It's an art."
MAYA spots a pile of dirty dishes in the sink.
(disgusted)
"And what's with the dishes?"
(defensively)
"That's my strategic kitchen decor. Saves time on finding plates."
MAYA hands ME a fitness tracker.
(sarcastically)
"Here, maybe this will motivate you to move."
Takes a long pause as I stare at the fitness tracker.
(disappointed)
"Can it track Netflix marathons?"
Later, I decide to exercise but chooses to do it while lying down.
while lifting a remote
"Remote curls. My kind of workout."
The doorbell rings, and I debate whether to answer
peeking through the curtains
"Ugh, unexpected visitors? Pretend I'm not home."
I wrap MYself in a blanket, attempting to camouflage into the couch.
Maya
(rolling eyes)
"You're unbelievable."
I smile, completely content in MY lazy kingdom.
